Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Hi, I'm Don-i. 🤍 I may only weigh 3.5 kg, but my heart is full of love just waiting for my forever family. When you hold me, you'll notice how tiny I am. I fit perfectly in your arms, and honestly… that's one of my favorite places to be. I love being close to my people, and every gentle touch makes me feel safe. Before I was rescued, I lived in a breeding facility. I never had the chance to experience what it means to be a cherished family member. Everything is still new to me, but one thing comes naturally—I love people. When you give me attention, I'll shyly wag my tail and quietly ask for more cuddles. I'm a gentle, calm little boy who gets along well with other dogs. If you already have a furry friend, I'd be happy to be their companion. But I'd also love being your one and only, soaking up all the love you've been saving for me. I'm still learning about life in a home, so I'll need some patience with potty training and leash walking. Since I've never had the chance to learn these things before, I hope you'll teach me one step at a time. I promise I'll do my best because I trust people and truly want to make you proud. I've spent my whole life being small and vulnerable, but I dream of a future where I never have to worry again—a home where I'm loved, protected, and treated like family. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow with a gentle heart, I think we've been waiting for each other. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

Story
*Note: Currently, Tongky, is in Korea but will be arriving in Toronto once adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, pleae click here.BackgroundTongky was one of eight small dogs abandoned together in a rural area of Paju. Most of the dogs were Maltese and Spitz and were believed to have come from a breeding facility. After being abandoned, they were taken to a local high kill shelter. With no adopters coming forward, Tongky was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, he was rescued before that could happen. After his rescue, Tongky joined his first foster family, where he lived in an apartment with a young elementary school aged child for four months. He then moved to another foster home with a quiet young couple, where he has continued to thrive in a home environment.Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, his current foster family can only care for him until the end of June. We are hoping to find Tongky the loving forever home he deserves so he can finally settle into a family of his own and never have to experience another transition again.Personality and SocializationTongky can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men. However, once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet and affectionate personality quickly emerges. He forms strong bonds with his people and loves attention and companionship. He is currently very comfortable with his male foster parent and enjoys spending time with him.Tongky gets along very well with other dogs and has shown good social skills in foster care. He like dogs who are friendly and respecful and are not too dominant. He has also lived successfully with a young child and would be suitable for a home with respectful children.BehavioursTongky loves going for walks and is easy to handle on leash. He enjoys exploring the world around him and looks forward to his daily outings. He is cooperative during grooming and bath time and handles routine care very well. Tongky rides reasonably well in the car. He may whine a little if sitting alone in a car seat, but settles with reassurance and enjoys being close to his people. He does not show signs of separation anxiety and has not displayed any aggressive behaviours. Tongky uses pee pads when needed and prefers to do his bowel movements outside during walks. He has a wonderful balance of energy. He enjoys running around and playing when it is time for fun, but he is equally happy to relax quietly beside his family when the day winds down.Health and DietTongky is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been routinely dewormed. He receives monthly parasite prevention. When he was rescued, Tongky tested positive for heartworm. He successfully completed treatment and has been declared heartworm free. He has also received a full veterinary examination. He is healthy and ready for his forever home.Tongky eats regular kibble with a healthy appetite and has not shown any known food or environmental allergies.Ideal HomeTongky has experienced abandonment and uncertainty in his past, but he has never stopped believing in people. Beneath his slightly shy first impression is a loving, loyal companion who simply wants to be close to those he trusts. His ideal family is one that understand his gentle nature, and offer him the stability he has always deserved. In return, Tongky will reward them with affection, companionship, and unwavering loyalty. After everything he has been through, Tongky is ready to leave his past behind and begin a new chapter with a family who will love him forever.*Note: Currently, Tongky, is in Korea but will be arriving in Toronto once adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, pleae click here.

Good with dogs,
Story
Sheldon's story is one of quiet resilience and a whole lot of heart. Found wandering alone near a busy school zone, he was severely matted and clearly neglected-but despite everything, this little guy never lost his gentle spirit. Now look at him: clean, happy, and absolutely thriving, Sheldon is a devoted little shadow who just wants to be close to his people. Whether you're moving around the house or settling in for a quiet moment, he'll be right there beside you, soaking up every bit of love and attention. He adores being petted and is endlessly curious about what you're doing-your built-in tiny supervisor He's also got a hilarious "sixth sense" when it comes to visitors-he'll alert you the moment someone is near the door... even before they knock! We're pretty sure Sheldon thinks it's his full-time job to keep you informed. While he may take a moment to feel fully comfortable, once he does, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. Sheldon is looking for a patient, loving home that will continue to build his confidence and give him the security he's been missing. If you're looking for a sweet, watchful, and devoted companion who will stick by your side through it all-Sheldon might just be your perfect match. Yongsik is comfortable meeting new people and greets both men and women with a friendly and open nature. Larger dogs can make him a bit nervous, but he remains gentle and calm. Yongsik is good with cats.BehaviourYongsik rides very well in the car and usually rests quietly during trips.
