Found wandering alone near a busy school zone, he was severely matted and clearly neglectedbut despite everything, this little guy never lost his gentle spirit. Now look at him: clean, happy, and absolutely thriving, Sheldon is a devoted little shadow who just wants to be close to his people. Whether youre moving around the house or settling in for a quiet moment, hell be right there beside you, soaking up every bit of love and attention. He adores being petted and is endlessly curious about what youre doingyour built-in tiny supervisor Hes also got a hilarious sixth sense when it comes to visitorshell alert you the moment someone is near the door even before they knock! Were pretty sure Sheldon thinks its his full-time job to keep you informed. While he may take a moment to feel fully comfortable, once he does, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. BackgroundYongsik was rescued from a puppy mill in Gimpo in December 2025. After his rescue, he stayed at our partner boarding house where he lived with other small dogs. He is now in a foster home in Vancouver, living with two cats.Personality and SocializationYongsik is a sweet and loving little boy with a medium energy level. He has a gentle and classic Maltese personality. He is smart, affectionate, and enjoys being close to people. Yongsik is comfortable meeting new people and greets both men and women with a friendly and open nature. He loves attention and cherishes every moment of affection.With other dogs, Yongsik is playful and friendly. He feels most at ease around small dogs and enjoys their company. Larger dogs can make him a bit nervous, but he remains gentle and calm. Yongsik is good with cats.BehaviourYongsik rides very well in the car and usually rests quietly during trips. He does not like nail clipping or grooming, but is fine with bathing. Yongsik is a very smart boy who learns new things quickly, and with gentle guidance, he continues to improve and build confidence.Health and DietYongsik is healthy and has received full veterinary care. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and receives regular parasite prevention. He eats dry kibble twice a day and has not shown any signs of allergies.Yongsik has patellar luxation in his hind legs, graded 1 and 2. It does not affect his quality of life. He walks and runs well with no problem. At this stage, he does not need any special treatment or medication. But regular exercise, joint supplements, and routine check ups are recommended. He has a few missing front teeth and has completed his dental work.Ideal HomeYongsik would do best in a calm and loving home where someone is around most of the time. A home with someone who works from home or a retired person would be ideal for him. Having another friendly small dog would be wonderful for him, as he grew up around other dogs and truly enjoys their company. With patience, understanding, and love, Yongsik will continue to grow in confidence and enjoy life more each day. He is affectionate, smart, and very loyal.
