Ellie is an ADORABLE, super sweet, happy, joyous, quiet, gentle little angel who is crate trained and very well behaved. She loves other dogs and is doing GREAT in her foster home! She weighs about 10 lbs and is about 2 years old. Her adoption fee is $500 and helps us continue our life-saving work. She is spayed, has all her shots, is microchipped, is heartworm negative and has gotten dewormer, flea/tick and heart worm preventative. I am an amazing southern gentleman and a fancy guy just like the Ritz Carlton!!  I am a 13 year old Maltipoo who now needs a nice family to take care of me for the rest of my life.  My mom took good care of me but can no longer afford to do that.  You see I was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur and the vet prescribed 3 different heart meds that I really need.  I am doing so much better now that I am on all 3 of them.  Miss Vivienne and Miss Karoline are taking good care of me.  I am no longer coughing.  They are taking me places to help with my anxiety and I am learning that new people and car rides are not as scary as I thought.  It is actually quite fun to go places.   I am no longer anxious in the car.  I am a maltipoo so I am a bit high strung but still a sweet little boy.  I spent the weekend with a very nice lady who also grooms so I had a spa day as part of my weekend.  With a name like Ritz that was a must!!  I did great.  I loved the bath and the trim that I got.  I am house broken but do need to be taken out frequently.  I walk great on a leash and love to go for walks and hang out with my family.  I promise to be a good boy and think that I am now ready for my forever home.  If you would like to help me please contact Vivienne directly at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  May 30, 2023, 9:22 am

Update: 12 years, the span of the average childhood, 12 years was what this poor pup spent confined inside of a tiny wire cage. No proper vet care, no love, and being unable to walk until her legs atrophied…all for her breeder’s bottom line. Imagine your entire childhood spending every day living the same nightmare until you were no longer "needed". THAT was Macie’s life, until now.Sweet Macie is full of mammary masses, rotting teeth, and unending ear infections. Her leg muscles are almost useless and when she attempts to walk it’s not a happy sight. Macie’s entire life she has never seen a vet, likely because that would mean an expense her breeder did not want to pay for. And yet, her belly shows scars of what could have been dozens of C-sections in her 12 years of life. These procedures very well could have been performed by the breeder themselves, or by a vet willing to overlook the obvious signs of maltreatment. In spite of ALL of this horrific abuse, Macie seems so ready and willing to open her heart up to new humans.Macie is starving not just for proper nutrition, but for genuine love and care. Russel Rescue could be the best chance she has at moving past her awful life. There will be no more puppies, no more cages, and no more pain…but we need your help. As Macie is overbred and has obvious health crises that need to be addressed immediately, we’re anticipating her vet bills to be exorbitant. Please consider donating to this sweet baby today and help us show Macie the love and kindness she deserves.Update: They have had most of their vetting and will need more after the holidays. Both are seniors that need little except some loving and reassurance that they will not have to keep being juggled around. They need a forever home now.Macie and Lola are. the perfect example why some people should never have pets! This precious bonded pair of 7# , 12 year old have been turned into a shelter. They have NEVER had any vetting what so ever. Lived in wire cages with nothing to protect their tiny feet from the pain. We have committed to take them but they will have to stay in boarding ( better than they have had in their sad lives) unless someone steps up and offers to foster or adopt. They will be going to have their first vet visit and be sure they have a complete go over. Please it is Christmas. Do something to make a difference in their lives. I got Cedar along with his half sister Maple, from a breeder outside of Nashville, who breeds teddy bear puppies( Half Shih Tzu/ half Bichon). Cedar is a sweet laid back pup who will go to the crate when asked, although he doesn’t need to be crated. He stays out during the day on his poof and looks out the window and naps. He loves to be pet and is a sweet pup. Cedar has had several teeth pulled in the past, but he is still a cutie. He also some breed and age vision issues, and can only see in well lit areas. He moves around fine after he learns his paths. I currently feed him blue buffalo adult small breed small kernel (dry or wet), but will eat anything just transition slowly so tummy doesn’t get upset. I am also rehoming his half sister Maple, if you are interested in two. They love each other. Please see Maple listed separately.
