Story
Meet Winston and Weasley. These two are a bonded pair. Weasley is a Havanese, Gold and White, 10 years old. Winston is a Malti-Tzu, Black and White, 10 years old. Both are hypoallergenic. These are adult dogs with a mix of playful and lay-around, and both are affectionate. They are very low maintenance: sleep through the night; no anxiety issues, may be left alone for several hours; they do not chew; they do not bark excessively but will bark at doorbell; good with older children (no experience with younger). They have never been around cats, so no predictions. These are cute boys. Their contrast and friendship is adorable. The problem is on our side. Our job requires extended travel abroad, and we are gone 2-3 months at a time, two or three times a year. We are looking for a retiree, stable couple, or a family with older children.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Jack loves to play, snuggle, and follow his favorite people around the house. He’s a happy pup who gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats (though if a kitty runs, he may join in the chase just for fun!). Jack can be a little shy when trying something new, and he does seem to prefer women at first. But once he warms up, his loving and playful personality shines. He’s still learning the basics — potty training, leash walking, and simple commands — but he’s eager to please and loves spending time with his humans, especially cuddled up in bed at night. Because of his size and sensitivities, Jack needs a home with no children under the age of 10. He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with and a family ready to give him plenty of love, patience, and guidance as he grows. Jack truly is a special little guy who just wants to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. Whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky. Story
Opal came to us not spayed and with a couple of mammary masses and a mass in her ovaries. We have since spayed her and had her masses removed and biopsied and all looks good! Eyes will need to be kept on her but she is ready to find her forever home-yay! Opal is suuuuch a sweet girl and loves to snuggle and is great with other dogs. Really we think she could be good with any family! She does still need to gain some weight but now that she is with a foster they can work on that! Opal cannot be in a home with stairs-she does not like to be picked up and stairs are a challenge for her. She may have some arthritis that causes her to really not liked to be picked up and this is the only time she will get grumpy. Other than that she is a sweetie!August 21, 2025, 1:01 pm

Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 15 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
