Meet Jada! She is a 9yo Morkie. Jada was an owner surrender. She is super sweet, she loves to be with her people. She likes to play with her toys or lay in your lap (ideally with endless petting). She is housebroken and gets along with her foster brothers.She has had her world turned upside down but still she is a loyal and faithful companion. She needs someone to treat her like the princess she knows she is and love her unconditionally for the rest of her life.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Bam was found in pretty rough shape as a stray, covered in fleas and Heartworm pos. I think he is a maltese mix and is 3-5 years old and weighs about 14 lbs. He has his vetting updates and has started his heartworm treatment. He is a very quiet, well behaved little dog. He seems to get along with most of the dogs in my house and plays well with them. Gizzy is a ten year old female maltese/schnauzer mix. She was given up to us because her owner's health was failing. Gizzy is a very sweet dog who weighs 17 lbs. She doesn't seem interested in getting on the furniture. Her mom passed away and her dad can no longer care for her. She is in good health for an older dog. Toto is brand new to BR so we will learn more about him soon! He came to the shelter SEVERELY matted and anxious but was medically shaved down and seems to be ok under all of that dreadlocked coat. Fluffy is a five year old Maltese mix who was constantly escaping her yard (a larger dog was making the holes) so they surrendered her to us. She weighs 18 lbs. Fluffy has taken a few days to get used to life in foster care and being inside. She is extremely sweet and is doing fine with other small dogs. She was living with a 60 lb border collie mix outside previously. Fluffy is heartworm positive and will be treated . Our first obstacle is getting her spayed.
