Story
Meet Milo!Milo is a 2 1/2-year-old maltipoo. He is 17lbs of cuteness! Milo is a ladies' man and just loves to be with his person.Someone that works from home would be perfect as Milo would lay at your feet all day. At night he'll move to the couch with you as he loves to watch movies. Do you go travelling? perfect, Milo loves that too! Milo walks well on the leash, he even knows some tricks! he is very obedient and so loving. Milo would do best in a home as the only pet as he really likes to have his person to himself! An experienced dog owner is essential for Milo as he, unfortunately, and through no fault of his own resource guards food and toys. A patient owner and someone willing to work with Milo will be the perfect home. No young kids for Milo.Milo has been assessed by a trainer and completed a 3 week ""board and train"" the trainer has given foster mom a lot of advice. Milo is absolutely adoptable; he just needs to find the right home. We can arrange the trainer to help with this adoption locally, training is also guaranteed for life for Milo and transfers to the adopter.

Story
Meet Bates! This 2.5 year-old, 8lb Maltipoo is such a sweet natured, playful little dog! This boy loves to hangout and play with other dogs his size and would do best with another playful dog in the home. Bates sleeps in his crate overnight and shows no interest in getting onto the furniture. He is doing great with house training and would benefit from a continued routine schedule. Bates came from a terrible breeder/hoarder situation in the Rio Grand Valley near the border with little human interaction. He is still a bit shy of humans but warms up with a little time and patience. Bates is very inquisitive but is a little wary in unfamiliar situations, but once settled he he'll show you his silly side. Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

If a dog is listed they are available for adoption. Please do not send inquiry "is dog available. The 1st step is filling out an application at www.camorescue.com We would love to help you find your next family member I looked up Elmer's name today and it said "noble/famous." Well I'm not sure about the noble part but around here, he's famous. He's very vocal and always wakes up in the morning wanting to play chase. He's about a 6-7 pound, 13-14 year old Maltese. He's good with other dogs. He is leash trained and loves outdoors but he loves your couch more. He has a slight hearing issue so you must speak up when talking to him. He knows a few hand signals that he learned here. He came to us with congestive heart failure, arthritis and a heart murmur. All of which are being managed very well by daily medication. Vetmedin, Enapril and Lasix Unfortunately when he was a young boy, no one ever spent the time to house train him. He struggles in that area but here he wears a belly band. In fact, when he comes in from outside, he waits for you to put it on. If you are into a laid back dog, sweet Elmer is your little guy! Adoption fee is $300.00 He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dental, bloodwork &x rays done. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Roxie was only 6 weeks old when a senior lady chose her from a litter of puppies. She was a very smart, alert and affectionate puppy and got along well with the lady's older dog. Roxie quickly learned to use an indoor potty pad. She loved to run and play in the lady's big, fenced backyard, and she liked to fetch toys that were thrown. Roxie loved attention and was a great little watch dog. After a couple of years, the senior lady moved into an apartment and began to have some health problems that required her to have surgery. There was no longer a backyard, for energetic Roxie to run and play in. She had to be walked on a leash. The senior lady soon realized this was not the best life for Roxie and asked Emmy's Hope Rescue to find her a new home. Roxie will need a family familiar with and accepting of high energy dogs. She led a sheltered life with only one other dog and not many human visitors, so she is learning to accept and play with other dogs at the Rescue. Estimated birth date:  October  2019 Approximate weight:  20 lbs. If you would like to meet Roxie , please call or text Stephanie at:  281-622-6549 . *** ADOPTION CRITERIA *** To qualify to adopt from Emmy's Hope Rescue, YOU MUST HAVE ALL 4 QUALIFIERS: 1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away). 2. Be 21 years or older. 3. Have a fenced yard. Fencing must touch the ground all the way around the yard. 4. We are looking for experienced pet owners. You must have at least 2-3 years of good vet history, with your current and / or past dogs. Your vet record should show that you take your dog(s) to the vet annually for an exam and to update their Rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo) vaccinations and heartworm testing, and that you purchase a monthly heartworm preventative.September 22, 2023, 8:21 pm
