Meet Fleming!
Breed: MalteseGender: MaleAge: SeniorSize: Small ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, people who appreciate a young-at-heart companion
Fleming might be physically older, but if you ask him, he's a fresh puppy trying to live his best life! This senior Maltese has clearly not gotten the memo that he's supposed to slow down. He loves to play and has that wonderful "age is just a number" energy that makes every day an adventure.
Fleming gets along well with other dogs and is happy to romp around with his canine companions, proving that senior dogs can absolutely keep up with the younger crowd. But here's where Fleming really shines: at the end of the day, you get to see a little of his inner snuggle bug emerge as he curls up close on the couch for a chill movie session. It's the perfect balance—playful energy when it's time to have fun, and cozy companionship when it's time to relax.
Fleming is well-mannered and—bonus feature—he likes sweaters! Whether it's a chilly morning walk or just elevating his already adorable look, Fleming is down for a fashionable wardrobe. He's proof that senior dogs aren't "less than" younger dogs—they're just dogs with more life experience, better priorities, and excellent taste in knitwear.
If you're looking for a small companion who plays like a puppy, cuddles like a pro, and looks great in a cardigan, Fleming is ready to spend his golden years bringing joy, laughter, and warmth to your home!

Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org
Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
