Murdoc is a three-year-old Maltese mix who was found stray in Fresno and is now ready for a fresh start. This little guy is understandably timid at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle, loving heart that’s slowly learning to trust again. Murdoc is also deaf, and it only makes him more special. Deaf dogs are incredibly intuitive and tend to form deep, attentive bonds with their people. Murdoc communicates beautifully through eye contact and body language, and with consistency and simple hand signals, he will continue to gain confidence. He looks to his humans for reassurance — and when he feels safe, his sweetness truly shines. True to his Maltese roots, Murdoc is sensitive, devoted, and deeply people-oriented. Maltese are known for forming strong bonds with their humans, and we’re already seeing that in him — he just needs a little time to feel secure. Once he warms up, his affectionate nature begins to blossom. Murdoc is friendly and kind, simply taking life at his own pace. He would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can build confidence through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Because he’s deaf, a secure environment and attentive adopter will help him feel safe and supported. At three years old, Murdoc is past the puppy stage but still young, with so much love to give.
