Story
I adopted Bob in April knowing that he was epileptic and needed oral medications, and this is the easiest part of his care. His seizures are well-controlled with phenobarbital and levetiracetam. His difficulties are in reactivity to outside strangers and dogs. In particular he has developed reactivity to my stepson—he barks and snarls at him. He has been responsive to training in general—I’ve taught him “sit”, “stay”, “place”, and “touch” under neutral circumstances, but these all need strengthening, along with training specific to reactivity to dogs. I have an evaluation from a veterinary behaviorist that I would be happy to pass on. Aside from these difficulties, Bob is a joy! He loves to play tug of war and fetch, absolutely destroy his stuffies, and cuddle on the couch once he’s gotten some exercise. He does enjoy training time too. I think he’d be very happy as a single dog although he had been fostered with others his size with no problems. He loves snacking on fruits & veggies.

🐾 Looking for a Loving Forever Home for Our Sweet Boy 🐾 With very heavy hearts, our family of three is considering finding a new home for our little guy. ❤️ We love him dearly, and this is not an easy decision. We currently have two big dogs as well, and with three dogs, life has become more than our family can comfortably manage. We’ve also realized that, as a family, we naturally gravitate toward and enjoy having bigger dogs. That being said, he is our baby, and his happiness and well-being will always come first. 🐶❤️ We want to find him a warm, loving home where he will be cherished, spoiled, and treated like a member of the family. We are not in a rush to rehome him, and we will be very careful about who he goes to. If we cannot find the right family and the right home for him, we will absolutely keep him. We would never want him to end up somewhere that isn’t a perfect fit.

Story
Noodle has been my sweet baby for over four years, we got him from my friend in high school when her dog had puppies. Up until recently, he has been nothing but the sweetest and cuddliest lap dog who loves playing with cats and going on long sniffing walks. He was previously potty trained and would kiss your face and lead you to the door to go outside to go potty. We recently adopted a great dane to be my service dog and it has lead him to act like he is in a rut, marking everywhere, growling, and unfortunately biting me. When away from home, his behavior goes back to normal. Noodle needs to go to a home either without another dog or an experienced owner who is willing to work on his behavioral issues. We are unfortunately financially unable to pay for the behavior corrections needed. I would like to keep in contact and hear about updates because I still love him so much, but he needs to be in another home where he can be more comfortable and happy being the only dog.
