Hi, I’m Jericho, a sensitive Maltese gentleman seeking companions (thoughtfully-introduced dogs, cats, and humans of all ages) for playtime, snuggles, and walks in a sling.
I was quite the stud in my former breeder home, but I never learned to trust others or be myself. My current lady is helping me find my inner puppy. Who knew squeaky toys, zoomies, and doggy stairs were this much fun?
She thinks my love of food—turns out cucumbers, melon, and apples are almost as delicious as doggy treats!—might make forever-home training easy once I learn to relax a bit more. For now, I prefer using indoor potty pads and staying safely tucked inside a sling when outdoors. I’d love a friendly, confident dog sibling to teach me skills, which would be easiest in a fenced yard. It will keep me safe too!
Some might call me needy because I prefer to be on or near my companion at all times, but I do great unkenneled for up to six hours alone. I do get barky when anyone enters the house, though I hush and run to my safe spot within seconds.
