Once you’re part of Lisa’s inner circle, you’re in for enthusiastic greetings, full-body cuddles, ridiculous antics, and some of the most expressive facial reactions you’ll ever see. She has a huge capacity for love. Lisa came into rescue after living with severe, painful eye and ear infections. Following extensive veterinary care, including several surgeries, she is feeling better and ready to enjoy life with a family of her own. There is so much to love about Lisa: She loves being close to her people. She will bury her head into you with all her love just pouring into her person. She is a lap poodle, all 60lbs of her. She is silly, playful, and endlessly entertaining. She is potty trained and can be trusted to free-roam when left alone. She rides beautifully in the car and hops right in. She does well at the groomer. She doesn’t counter surf or guard food or other resources. She calmly passes other dogs on walks, even dogs barking at her. She has excellent recall and is highly motivated by treats. She loves toys, balls, walks, and a good game of chase with canine friends. She has undergone a gastropexy, which greatly reduces the risk of the dangerous stomach twisting associated with bloat in deep-chested dogs. She is also pretty lazy and sleeps most of the day: a 45min-1hr walk a day and mental enrichment puzzles, lick mats, and a chew project are all that she needs to be fulfilled. She does not need another dog in the home, but she would love canine friends who can visit. Lisa’s ideal home will be a calm, predictable single-family home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a physically fenced yard. She needs a family willing to introduce new people gradually and proactively manage her with people she doesn’t know. It would be best for her to go a home with few visitors. Lisa has responded incredibly well to positive reinforcement based training and continues to make progress. Lisa is available for a 2-4 week trial adoption to ensure she fits into her forever home.

I was quite the stud in my former breeder home, but I never learned to trust others or be myself. My current lady is helping me find my inner puppy. Who knew squeaky toys, zoomies, and doggy stairs were this much fun? She thinks my love of food—turns out cucumbers, melon, and apples are almost as delicious as doggy treats!—might make forever-home training easy once I learn to relax a bit more. For now, I prefer using indoor potty pads and staying safely tucked inside a sling when outdoors. I’d love a friendly, confident dog sibling to teach me skills, which would be easiest in a fenced yard. It will keep me safe too! Some might call me needy because I prefer to be on or near my companion at all times, but I do great unkenneled for up to six hours alone. I do get barky when anyone enters the house, though I hush and run to my safe spot within seconds. Ready for a date? I’ll bring my expressive ears, soft, hypoallergenic fur, and sweet disposition. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and has good teeth. He is very shy when you first meet him and will take time to warm up but when he does look out. Irving will need a fenced in yard as he may run and is very shy. He loves to play with toys, people and other dogs. He uses a puppy door to go outside to potty and loves the outside sometimes he doesn't like to come back in unless you go out and get him. Irving is smart, funny and has a foot fetish. He will catch them when you put them up on something and then lets them go. Also, likes to nibble at your ears, neck or your hair but will not bite or hurt you. Irving would be good with shared walls as he rarely barks. He likes to sleep in bed with me and his doggie friends and likes to nap in a puppy bed. Adoption fee: $695
