Story
We adopted Lucky from my mother in law who is suffering from dementia and could no longer take care of him when he was 3 years old. We’ve had him for 2 years now and it is not a right fit. Lucky has had extensive training in NYC and listens to commands. He likes to spin around and play and listen to training. I am looking for someone to take care of him preferably female bc he does not do well with males or children.

Nigiri has been patiently waiting for over four months, watching his friends head off to their forever homes… and wondering when it will finally be his turn. This sweet 10-year-old Maltese mix may be small (just 10 pounds!), but his heart is huge.   Nigiri is the definition of a “Velcro dog”—he loves being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room, just to keep you company. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will shower you with quiet devotion, Nigiri is your guy. He’s also great with dogs and does well with kids, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of families. Nigiri would do well with a dog buddy, but otherwise his perfect home would be with someone who is retired and is home a lot. Or is retired and wants to take Nigiri with them when they run errands, etc.   Nigiri does have diabetes, which means he needs insulin injections twice a day. But don’t let that scare you—he takes them like an absolute champ, with zero fuss. He’s cooperative, gentle, and makes it easy to care for him. All Nigiri really wants is someone who sees past his medical condition and recognizes the loving, gentle companion he truly is. He’s past the puppy chaos and ready to settle into a calm, cozy home where he can spend his golden years by your side.   Nigiri has been overlooked for far too long. DOB 6-11-2025 This gorgeous little boy named Natan is a sweetheart. He is a little shy, gets along with other little dogs, loves to play and is social. Natan is up to date on shots and a healthy boy! Natan's adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they run every other week to their stops on the East Coast. They are the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. After you submit your application please allow a few days to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We do look for the best home that fits each of our pets, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved we with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the pet you are interested in.Together we can decide if this is the best choice for both.
