Story
My story
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lana
Introducing Lana!
Lana is a beautiful Maltipoo (Maltese / Poodle) Terrier mix who is approximately 5 months old and currently weighs 9 pounds. we rescued her from the La Joya shelter in south Teas near the border of Mexico. She came to us scared, but sweet and we suspect that she probably hasn’t been handled much in the environment they came from and people may not have been very kind to her. She is currently in a wonderful foster home where she has been settling in nicely and her little personality is coming through more and more every day.
Lana does have a warming up period, but once she feels safe, she is happy to sit on a warm lap and get love and affection. She will need to go to a patient, quiet, home without small children, so she can feel safe and continue to work on her socialization. She is gentle, tenderhearted and kind, she just likes to take things slow in the “getting to know you” period. Once she is bonded, she will be a loyal, loving companion. Initially, she will require lots of supervision as living in a home is still pretty new to her. She is full of love and will be a typical happy terrier puppy after she understands her new environment.
