Eve, Female, 7 years old, black and tan, Manchester and Min pin mix, Shelter Survivor. Eve busted out of jail (the shelter) and is now looking for her forever home! She starts off skittish and scared but will warm up and play...especially with other dogs (she is shown in photo #3 with her buddy "Manny". She is crate and potty trained as well! Eve will require someone that has an enormous amount of patience... it takes a long time for her to come over for petting. She won't bite, but she is just afraid of people. She LOVE LOVE LOVES dogs. We have not cat tested Eve, however, we have seen her around a very small fluffy chihuahua and she seemed a little too interested in wanting to chase her. We do think she has prey drive and we think she may chase cats and bunnies. To be clear... Eve is she is great with dogs but very shy/scared of new people. She takes a while to warm up to you for you to touch her. She doesn’t bite. She is actually very sweet once she trusts you. However, if she does get scared she will try to “run” so you have to be aware that her response to fear is to run. She needs a secure house and yard for this reason. She is still a work in progress and will need a dedicated and experienced dog person to give her the chance she deserves. She is sweet, beautiful and an all around pleasant girl. Eve's ideal home is one with patient, predictable, calm humans and a secure YARD. Perhaps a good doggie to mirror and learn the ropes at your home. Min pin mixes. 6 yrs, approx 15 lbs, Beckham and Cooper were adopted as puppies and returned to us as adults.  They are now 6 yrs old.  They were returned because the couple was having a baby. The boys have been with us since and are boarded in a Cagefree facility. After only being with each other for 6 years, we decided to socialize them a little with other dogs.  They are happy and doing great.  They love to go on long walks and hikes.  They are calm  dogs who can be playful. They just need a house with a yard and lots of love.  They have been together since puppyhood and we would like to try to keep them together. It also makes it easy for a new home transition.  Come and meet them!!!   DUE TO COVID ADOPTIONS ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! MEET AND GREETS AVAILABLE. Adoptions are held every SATURDAY from 1PM – 4PM at the PETCO at 8161 BEVERLY BLVD at La Jolla (1/2 mile east of Beverly Center). Plenty of parking! Hi I’m Debo, I was born October 31st 2020 I just turned 5 years old! I’m a miniature pinscher. I’m a really chill dog. I enjoy cuddling, warm blankets, and sun bathing. I love food! My favorite fruits are mangoes and bananas! I also love sweet potatoes. I get really happy on short hikes and long car rides. I do have environmental allergies and need allergy medicine and a special diet to help me stay the happy healthy good boy I am. I’m not too good with other dogs. I was attacked by another dog and have a really hard time feeling safe around them now. My current bestie can’t care for me the way I need her to anymore she’s not feeling well and wants to find a family that can love and welcome me in just as much as she has been. Story
Spanky is a sweet, cuddly min pin mix looking for a loving home willing to give a new lease on life. Spanky is an 11 year old darlin who loves to sit on laps and cuddle on the couch. He loves and craves physical affection, praise and treats. His owner passed away recently and Spanky now needs a new loving home to care for him. Spanky is perfectly fine around cats as he was raised around them. He is house trained but he has been accustomed to a doggy door so he may have continence issues if not given often or ready access to a potty spot. He also has never been separated from his sibling, Pepper and if possible would do best if the two could be adopted together. This is preferred but not a deal breaker! Better she has a loving home than homeless with her litter mate! Spanky is up to date on his shots and has been vetted as otherwise healthy. He is spry and spunky.
