Story
Isaiah is a handsome and sweet boy who wants so very much to be affectionate and like humans, but he is still learning to trust. He is currently recommended for patient and calm adopters with experience befriending shy cats. He will come around: in the three weeks he has been with his foster family, he has gone from shaking in fear under the furniture when they walk into the room, to playing only several feet away from the humans as long as they don’t reach toward him. Normally, if he sees you move toward him to pet him or pick him up, he will be frightened and will run, but if he’s engrossed in play or feeling lazy after just waking from a nap, he can’t be bothered to run away and you can pick him up - and as soon as you do he will purr and cuddle into your arms. Isaiah also feels more confident with humans when other cats are nearby for moral support and calmly interacting with them. He really needs other friendly animals around him, not just for playmates but for emotional support.Isaiah is especially fond of lickable treats like Churu or Delectables, and they can lure him into your lap where he will purr and sit happily for several minutes while you pet him. When the humans aren’t too close, Isaiah simply adores friendly cats and will gently try to convince the adults to join him in play. He loves to climb and play chase with kitten friends, and he especially likes wand toys. The one human that he has seemed to like and trust was a dinner guest who visited his foster home covered in dog hair and smells. He spent the whole meal hiding under her chair and rubbing on her legs. A home with a gentle dog who would be his buddy might be the best place for him to finish coming out of his shell and feeling safe with humans, too.To meet Isaiah and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events:1) review our adoption policies at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/policies/2) apply to become a pre-approved adopter today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Imara is beautiful and sweet and playful. She is perfection in kitten form - unless you want a cat with a tail! Imara also has the tendency to be underfoot, she’s so excited to be near you, so she might not be the best for a household where someone has a particular danger of falling if they trip over her. While Imara is still too energetic and wiggly to be very interested in laps or being held, she does love to curl up next to people for naptime and a contented purr session. She likes to jump on laps but doesn’t settle. She might pace in circles there demanding pets and then jump back down. All toys are good toys, but Imara especially likes chasing a ball and playing chase with her friends. Her favorite is hiding behind the shower curtain and jumping out. She loves other friendly cats and seems confident enough to enjoy a friendly and gentle dog. She is not bothered by children as long as they know how to be respectful of cats.Is Imara the missing piece that your family needs? To meet Imara and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events:1) review our adoption policies at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/policies/2) apply to become a pre-approved adopter today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Meet Minxy! Minxy is a resilient soul who spent nearly three years as a cautious visitor on her foster's property. While she accepted food and shelter, she kept her distance until a period of illness led her fosters to step in and get her the veterinary care she needed. After overcoming several health obstacles, Minxy is now infection-free and has finally revealed her true, affectionate nature. Once a shy girl, Minxy has transformed into a total cuddle bug. She absolutely loves having her belly rubbed and will happily make "air biscuits" while being held or petted. While she may be a bit nervous with new faces and might offer a defensive hiss at first, she quickly "melts" as soon as she feels the comfort of a kind touch. The Essentials: Age: Estimated between 3 and 5 years old. Health: Minxy is FeLV positive. Because of this, she needs to be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV+ feline friends. Personality: A sweet snuggler who just wants a family to give her all the love she deserves. Minxy has come a long way from the yard to the couch, and she’s now looking for a forever home where she can spend her days snuggling and being adored.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check out my tail. Click on my photo to see it. Lucas is a beautiful Manx mix who is a lover and a cuddler.  He was found in a rural area where he was likely abandoned.  Lucas loves to have his head scratched and to chase his toys. He also loves a good tube of Churu.  He is about 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  He is also FIV+.  Please read below about FIV+ kitties.  Despite their diagnosis they can live long, healthy lives if they live indoors and are provided regular veterinary care.   What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV-negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.    For additional information contact your veterinarian.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2026, 12:39 pm
