SPECIAL NEEDS: Pixie really needs to be adopted by a very experienced and alert human. She has Manx Syndrome and allergies. She must maintain a prescription diet and get medications twice a day to keep her colon active. She may occassionaly require manual manipulation of her gut to move her fecal matter.  Sweet Pixie was found by animal control and taken to a vet, as she was too little to go to the shelter. The vet called Feline Matchmakers and we took her in. She nursed on a mama cat that had a litter about her age and grew up with her adopted family in foster care. She is now a social, spunky little bundle of joy! All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Feisty and energetic, he rarely stays still for snuggles unless it's closer to bedtime. He loves to run and play, rocketing up the cat tower or skidding around corners in the kitchen. The hand towel is his current nemesis. When his energy runs out he will come lay near you and purr, giving very mouthy head rubs and gentle finger nibbles, then often disappearing to a warm sunny window. He's a sweetheart who will tear at the catnip toy instead of your curtains (but the dangly thing is asking for it). He just wants a bite of your food, some good butt scritches and to lay by your feet at night.   ##2454298##

Click on my photo to see it.Lucas is a beautiful Manx mix who is a lover and a cuddler.  He was found in a rural area where he was likely abandoned.  Lucas loves to have his head scratched and to chase his toys. He also loves a good tube of Churu.  He is about 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  He is also FIV+.  Please read below about FIV+ kitties.  Despite their diagnosis they can live long, healthy lives if they live indoors and are provided regular veterinary care.   What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV-negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.    For additional information contact your veterinarian.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 26, 2025, 12:22 pm
