LOCATION: Main Shelter Cat RoomsThe Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience.** Third-Party Websites **Sites like Petfinder and GetBuddy may not show our current available animals. Please check our website for the most up-to-date list and verify that the pet you are interested in is still listed as available: https://www.seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt ** Online Applications via Third Party Websites ** Applying through a third-party site does not reserve an animal or secure a place in line for that animal. Adoptable animals are adopted first-come, first-served, in person at the shelter. For animals located in foster care, email us as described below; inquiries are handled in the order received.HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal`s location. From Cat Adoption/Cattery/Free Roaming Room (in shelter):To meet this cat please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm one of on one of our open days, no appointment needed.
