Story
We adopted Buddy in 2019 from a local Pyrenees rescue organization associated with another organization from Peyton, Colorado. He was about 1 yr - 1.5 years old when we got adopted him. He did get along great with other dogs and cats. We had two cats and a black lab. As he’s gotten older and more mature, he becomes very possessive of his people/owners. He would snap at the cats and the other dog if they came close to whichever person he was by. As the years progressed, it’s gotten to the point to whichever person he is physically next to, the other owner cannot approach. Nothing bad has happened yet, but it has come close. He really needs to be in a home with one person and no other pets. We rearranged our whole lives to keep him. He is my 2nd GP. We have a 5 yr. daughter. And can’t put her at risk. He’s a very loving dog. He likes to go for long walks. He’s just become more and more possessive of his person. He is an excellent guard dog.
