Story
Courtesy post: This is not WAG's dog, but we are helping find him a new home. Meet Davidson. He was 3 in February 2026 and weighs around 115 lbs. Yes, he is a big boy and he is strong but he is very loving and adores cuddles. He is 59% Maremma Sheepdog and thrown in we have German Shephard, Malamute, Siberian Husky, Samoyed and Northern Inuit Dog. Yes, this all came from his DNA testing. His original owner died and, because the family had no one to take him in, he spent 3 months tied up on a chain in front of his house. October of 2025 he was taken in by a foster in Sequim where he is now staying. He was neutered and fully vaccinated at that time. He was raised with children as a puppy and had doggy and kitty friends but as he has matured, he has become a bit dog selective. We suggest he be the only family dog. He definitely needs an owner with dog experience. Although he is part livestock guard dog, he has spent his life as an indoor/outdoor dog enjoying the benefits of being a family dog curled up beside you at night and running in a large, 6 ft. fenced yard. He loves people and is currently working with a trainer to teach him basic manners. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him as he has a kind and happy spirit. He just needs a family he can call his own. If interested in Davidson or would like more information please call Jane at 360 681-0113. Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Adoption donation fee up to $350 (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue) March 13, 2026, 2:51 pm

Story
Tandy is generally a sweet, playful boy. His genetics as a guardian are strong, and he loves to patrol his fenced in area and like a true pyrenees will bark at any passerby or leaf falling from a tree he doesnt agree with.Tandy would do best with someone experienced with large breed guardian dogs with strong personalities, who can be patient and positive working with him, and the most successful situation would probably be as the only pet, or with strong willed dog friend to keep him in check. He is submissive to our Malamute, who is a strong alpha personality. Adults and kids would need to be savvy with guardian dogs. Our life and schedule changes are making it difficult to have Tandy and still be able to live our lives and work (leave town). He would thrive with someone that's on a farm situation or doesn't leave often/doesn't interact with strangers too much until or if he's fully socialized again.

Story
Scout is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Scout can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life, in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Scout is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. About Scout Scout is a typical 4-month-old puppy who is ready to find his perfect forever family! Believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd, he is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy. Personality: A typical, happy pup who absolutely loves people. Because he is so young, it can be safely assumed that he will do great with children. Other Animals: Scout is fantastic with other dogs! He tends to be the "rough and tumble" one of the group, but he always plays well with others and is great at socializing. Can be tested with cats upon request. Training & House Skills: He is already doing okay in his crate. While he hasn't had any official training on a leash or with housebreaking just yet, he is a smart boy who should learn the ropes quickly with a consistent routine. He'll just need a patient family ready to guide him through his puppy milestones! Video of Scout: https://youtube.com/shorts/1htak4FVGU0?is=ZISxCma1mhWrcsG0 His adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Scout is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella). Prevention: He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate; all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Adoption Details Scouts adoption fee is $1,200. This fee is all-inclusive, covering his neuter, all veterinary care listed above, and his seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting him safely to your area. Story
He is available for adoption at Seattle HumaneKai is the world’s biggest goofball, and it breaks our hearts that we aren’t the right home for him. He has never met a human he doesn’t adore, and will try and nose boop his new friends. Balls are his favorite, he loves dribbling his balls around the apartment and pouncing after his toys. He will thrive with a yard and a family that is able to be home with him a majority of the day, and should be the only dog in the home.

Story
LOCATION: Main Shelter KennelMeet the star of Jet City - Boeing! With ears as big as plane wings, she`s sure not to miss a single thing. She`s a cutie patootie who can be a bit shy at first but will start to warm up with her favorite treat ... cheese! Very sweet and loving, she has a huge heart with so much love to give. Her foster parent reports Boeing is super good on leash, and enjoys going on long walks, runs, and hikes, and going to the beach and laying in the sand. She loves car rides. Boeing is good at settling wherever she is. When she gets the zoomies, she gets super hoppy like a bunny and will tuck her tail under her and run back and forth - it’s SO cute.Indoors, Boeing only chews on her own toys, is house trained and able hold it for up to 8 hours if needed. The couch is her favorite spot for naps. She likes fetch, but sometimes forgets to bring the ball back! Every night when her foster parent gets into bed, she jumps up with her, lays on her, and asks for about 5 minutes of attention (pets, cuddles, ear scratches,) and then she’ll go to the end of the bed and settle down and fall right to sleep.Boeing does well with other dogs and regularly attends doggie playgroups at the shelter. The ideal home for this awesome pup would be a multi-person family where someone is home most of the time, and a yard for her to play in and run around. She’d be good in an apartment as well. Boeing really bonds hard with her person and she’d love it if that person was with her most of the time. Lovely Boeing can`t wait to meet you!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience. **HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location. From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed.
