Story
In the world of Squishmallows, Bambz is a black and white Pomeranian mix, or Pomchi. According to Squishmallow Fandom, Bambz loves making new friends and watching films with her family. In real life, Pomchis are tiny little dogs averaging six to ten inches tall and weighing only four to 12 pounds. While not a Squishmallow, we have a dog named Bambz who is a little squishy… like 100 pounds squishy! And while our Bambz is a large girl, she is a gentle giant and we think that she would love nothing more than to relax indoors and watch films with her new family! Bambz is gathering her own fan base here in the shelter, with some of her volunteer friends saying the following:“Bambz was super friendly when I met her for the first time. She let me easily enter the kennel and leash her up. Once in the play yard she explored a little bit, but mainly just wanted to be next to me. She`s so tall, when I kneeled down, her head was at my shoulder level. She just put her head right on my shoulder and gave me some sweet, sweet snuggles and nuzzles and stayed by my side. She followed me around the yard and would come back in and check in with me after exploring.” “Bambz is a sweet lady who just wants to love you.” “Bambz is such a beauty and oh-so sweet!”Bambz shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She is hypothyroid and has recently begun to take twice daily medications. She would love to get out of the shelter and into a foster or adoptive home to help her shed a few pounds and continue to get healthy so that she can feel her best!We guarantee that our lovebug Bambz will bring extra love, extra joy and extra cuddles into your home! Come adopt your very own XL Squishmallow today!

Story
If you need to add some flavor to your life, we`ve got a quick and easy way to do that- meet Miso! Miso is a handsome young guy who first popped up at PACC all the way back in 2021. We don’t know all of the details of his journey between then and now, but he returned to the shelter as a stray in late 2024. Miso found himself at risk due to critical shelter overcrowding and was lucky enough to spend a couple of months in a foster home. Here’s what we learned:- He is housebroken and easily learned to use a doggy door- He slept the day away when left home alone- He is extremely cuddly and affectionate - He is calm and well- mannered- He is friendly with new people“Miso CLEARLY identifies as a 5lb teacup poodle. He wants nothing more than to crawl into your lap to be close to you. This doesn’t work out so well due to his size, but he works with the hand he was dealt and is content to get his paws and head in your lap. I can confirm he is redirectable if you don’t want his front half in your lap. He is a champion car passenger. He will stay in the backseat if that’s where you put him, but if you let him ride in the passenger seat, he will just lay there with his head in your lap.”Miso’s foster said that he was “one of the best dogs I’ve ever had in my home” and we’re hoping that when Miso leaves the shelter next, it will be forever this time! This big old lovebug also has lots of fans at the shelter- here’s what one of them had to say:“Miso is the biggest cuddle bug! He`d rather sit on your lap in a yard than to walk. His beautiful coat is fluffy and that makes petting fun. Miso is friendly and easy to leash.”Miso is a big, energetic boy so would love a family who will take him on all of their adventures. When meeting other dogs in playgroup Miso has been independent and more people- oriented than doggy social. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Miso today!!
