Story
Duke is a sweet, silly and gentle two-year-old BoxerMastiff mix. He truly doesn't have a mean bone in his body; he adores people, kids, and even cats! Duke is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He walks best with a Halti, he’s still learning not to pull and can be a bit reactive on leash, so an experienced handler is preferred. He is a familiar with doggie daycare and has stayed multiple times at a care facility. Duke would thrive in a home with a large yard or open space to roam, as he’s definitely not suited for apartment living. He’s the most loving and loyal companion you could ask for…a total velcro dog! Unfortunately, work schedules have changed, and we no longer have the time that Duke truly deserves so we are hoping to find him a home where he can get the love, exercise, and space he needs. He has not been neutered yet because he’s a large breed and still growing.

Meet Raspberry!Raspberry is a 2½-year-old female Dogue de Bordeaux mix who weighs in at a very manageable 45 pounds - the perfect size for someone looking for a big-dog personality in a smaller package!This sweet, squishy-faced girl is all about the simple things in life: belly rubs, lots (and LOTS!) of pets and attention, naps, and leisurely walks with her dog friends. And just look at that face! Raspberry's adorable tongue has a habit of sticking out of her smooshy little face, and honestly, she wouldn't have it any other way. She's also happy to use that tongue to give out some very sweet kisses. ❤️Raspberry is one of our newer residents, and the shelter environment has been really hard on her. She's a sensitive girl who is understandably stressed by all the noise and activity. What she really wants is a quiet place where she can decompress, soak up all the love she's been missing, and maybe claim a cozy spot on the couch as her own.The good news? Raspberry is dog-friendly! She has done well with both big and small dogs. She doesn't seem particularly interested in rough-and-tumble play - she'd much rather simply hang out with her canine friends and enjoy a nice walk together. She has also met a cat who confidently walked right up to her for a sniff, and Raspberry simply laid there and took it all in. While every animal is different and proper introductions are always important, we think she may have potential to live with a cat, too.Raspberry also hasn't quite discovered the magic of toys yet. She doesn't seem to know what they're for - but maybe you can be the one to introduce her to the wonderful world of squeakers, stuffies, and playtime!More than anything, Raspberry needs someone who will give her the chance to relax, feel safe, and learn just how wonderful life outside the shelter can be.
