Story
Meet Dozer, the iron-willed six-year-old Mastiff with the heart and strength of a young pup! Dozer was previously owned but sadly turned into our animal shelter after the death of his owner. Now, Dozer is looking for a loving home to call his own. In his previous home, he was potty trained, socialized around children ages 10-16, and lived as a single dog. While he will still benefit from being the only dog in the household, controlled and safe introductions with other dogs are always encouraged. At 90 lbs, Dozer is a natural puller, so it's essential to remember that he must continue his basic obedience and leash training once adopted. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 85.8 Age: 6yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Notes from Nelly`s foster: I definitely fell in love with Nelly - and of course I did because she made it so easy. It took her a second to open up, which I was expecting. Parts of her life were not so great and so I assumed that I would have to earn her trust. She also made that part quite easy as all she needed were some yummy treats and some love. And the love she gives back to you is quite endless. She`ll greet you with a big hug the moment you get home. She`ll rest her head on you once you both start to get tired. You might occasionally have to coax her to play, but she commits to the game once you do. Nelly loves tug of war, and in our small apartment she would still somehow make a game of fetch. Shortly after, she`ll get the zoomies, and it`s almost as if she doesn`t realize how fast she is actually going. She may be quite timid and shy at first but once she gets a sense of their smell and that they are a person that you trust, she begins to open up too. Nelly gives cute little kisses and provides you with a comfortable presence. And, she will listen when you tell her to leave it. I will say this girl has some sass in terms of where she wants to go when walking… she might sit and toss her head saying `no I want to go this way.` It`s pretty cute. And again, with patience and some coaxing she listens. She is house trained and will communicate when she needs to go outside. I will say that Nelly is very food motivated and learns quite fast. In terms of training, she needs a bit of repetition, like any other dog, but she catches on quickly. Nelly is a wonderful dog. It might take a second for her to open up, but that is only because she has had to guard herself for quite some time. If you give her a chance, she will become your adventure buddy, your cuddle buddy, and your genuine and loyal friend for life.

Story
Bella is a 4YO Mastiff Mix who we affectionately call ‘Horse Dog’. She is a big girl, but incredibly gentle with people and kids. She is always excited, eager to give you a kiss, a paw, or a hug, if you let her! She sometimes doesn’t realize how big she is though & so you’ll need to be mindful that if you’re not expecting Bella’s love, she might sweep you off your feet! Bella is housebroken and typically stays in one room when left alone at home. When not out on a walk, Bella will typically spend her day sleeping next to you. She does love to fetch ball though, play tug of war, or chew on a good toy. Oh and don’t forget belly rubs and but scratches. She goes crazy for those! Bella does not typically get along with other dogs/animals. She’s never hurt another, but when walking Bella, it’s best to cross the street if another dog is near. This behavior could likely be trained. The best fit for Bella would be a home, with older kids, and an owner who has time to give her long walks.
