Story
He was left behind when his owners moved out. Very affectionate. He looks like a goofy, kind of floppy hound dog as he ambles around. He’s sweet and affectionate. Gets along with most dogs. He’s a little bossy with food especially with a timid dog. Feeding in a crate solves that. Loves his play time in the yard with two stout dogs. Great on a leash. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. Tanner's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, his adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions).Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Meet Ollie, the handsome two-year-old gentle giant we pulled from a Long Island shelter just before he was euthanized. Now he’s ready to start a new chapter with a family who will adore him. Large in size but overflowing with love, Ollie has a gentle heart and an affectionate personality that makes him think he’s a lapdog even if he takes up most of the couch. He knows his basic commands, enjoys making new friends, and loves following you around just to be close. Ollie would thrive with someone who appreciates a loyal, sweet companion with endless love to give. If you’re looking for an oversized cuddle buddy who’s all heart, Ollie might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Baxter! Baxter was surrendered and asked to be picked up by ACO when he was just 5 months old. He just turned 2 years old this month. His family said they no longer wanted him because “he wasn’t getting big enough” He’s been with his foster ever since, no fault of his own as a different rescue committed to him and left him behind. Baxter is simply the best and is so deserving of a family of his own. He is high energy and loves to play, he will do great with a family that has older kids. He’s is always ready for an adventure or a hike and then a snuggle session. He LOVES toys especially his jumbler ball. Just make sure to always keep some backups on hand in case needed 😅 he loves running and jumping in the air. Baxter will keep you laughing with his goody antics and joy of everything! He is great with dogs and just wants to play. Who can resist a happy holiday adventurous loving boy like Baxter?! Baxter is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Welcome Barron to CCPAL Rescue. Barron is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Barron is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Barron would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. He would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Barron’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. He should be 60 pounds full grown. He likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. He will go on a potty pad. He is good with other dogs bigger than himself. His dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. He energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. He has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. He has longer hair a little more like the GP momma. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. He is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
If soft-hearted sweetness and childlike wonderfilled goodness is what you are looking for in a dog than it is a pleasure to introduce you to Odie! This boy is 79lbs of gentle, tiger-striped, brindle goodness with a side of accidental ladies man. There wasn’t a woman who has met this boy that hasn’t become immediately smitten with him and it is easy to understand why. Want to watch this soft-hearted giant in action? Head to YouTube and search “Odie | Gentle Giant, Soft Heart” and then come right back to read more! Odie is estimated to be around 1–2 years old and weighs a perfect 79 lbs. We suspect he may be a Mastiff/Hound mix, but as always, rescue rules apply and breed and birthday are our best guess. What isn’t a guess is that he is a LOVE. The kind that starts quiet and grows deep. When we first met Odie, he was in a new place and he was a bit shy. Not reactive. Not dramatic. Just taking it slow. He needed a little warming up before he felt comfortable. But once he did? Completely different dog. He was happily greeting every new person who approached, soaking up affection, and laying his full weight across us for hugs and kisses. Odie doesn’t do half-hearted bonding. He commits 1000%! With other dogs, he’s thoughtful and very much in his own lane. On leash, his greetings are quiet and polite. Odie is fostered in a loving home with a wide variety of other dogs and he is wonderful with them all! From small pups to dogs bigger than him. This combination of experiences has helped create a dog that is both calm and confident, can go from gently playing with a small dog or puppy to bouncing around the big dogs followed by lounging in the shade or rolling in a cool spot of dirt. He doesn’t need constant action either, he is perfectly content to wander around and exist peacefully on his own, it’s very classic mastiff energy even if we cannot guarantee breed. He was especially happy to meet Pinecone, an itty-bitty Chihuahua and seemed to genuinely enjoy her presence, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being the Arnold Schwarzenegger to a small-dog Danny DeVito. With our house cat, he showed respectful avoidance. When the cat got too close, Odie simply created space. Later, when Biggie entered the room, Odie didn’t even get up from the couch. That’s promising coexist energy, though we are happy to set up a Kitty-Committee Sleepover to confirm. Now let’s talk about the one area where Odie needs a little coaching, leash skills. His approach on leash is very chill and a sense of urgency is not his vibe, it isnt stubbornness, but he will need patient guidance and some consistent training to learn the rhythm of walking on leash, including the occasional pull to pick-up the pace. Once that’s ironed out, he’s going to be an easy, low-energy companion. Overall, Odie is a quiet, lower-energy boy in a big body. He isn’t looking to run marathons. He’s looking for steady people, soft encouragement, and a couch sturdy enough for full-body leaning and long naps. Apartment living could absolutely work for him once his leash skills are polished. His size may be large, but his presence is gentle and calm If you have room in your home and heart for a sensitive giant who bonds deeply and loves fully, Odie B. Love Bug is ready to come home to you! Apply today and welcome home your new bestie and favorite weighted blanket. Questions?
