Story
A wonderful couple took in this big playful dog to keep her safe and decided to foster her and find her a forever home.  Sissy was dumped in their neighborhood and choose their house to make herself at home. Sissy has been spayed and up to date on vaccinations.  She is approximately 18 months old and weighs about 65 pounds.  They are working on house training, she is crate trained and left in a crate when they leave the house. She knows a few commands like SIT, STAY & COMES when her name is called.  They are working on other basic commands and behavior issues.  Sissy is a big girl and still likes to jump like puppies do.  She will need a home that is active and can walk her and give her the exercise she needs. Her foster home has another dog and Sissy loves playing tug or war and running zoomies around the yard.  If you are interested in adopting Sissy, please contact IDA GARCIA @ 210-317-6381 This is a courtesy posting for the foster family.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 26, 2024, 10:28 am

Story
Cruise is a handsome 2 year 7 month old African Mastiff/Rednose Pitbull mix who weighs 66 lbs. Cruise is a fun-loving boy who enjoys lots of play time with other dogs and people. Cruise is also great with children. It's not known if he has experience with cats. He has a medium level of energy and will enjoy plenty of walks and play time with either his new family or other furry friends.Cruise is fully house trained and crate trained. His new owners will need to provide consistency for him to maintain these skills. Cruise's leash training is in process, but patience and positive training will help him become a pro.The perfect owner for Cruise is someone who will provide continued socialization with people and other dogs, along with plenty of structure, daily physical and mental exercise, and a lot of love. The Adoption fees for cruise are $500.00 which include his neuter, up to date vaccines, foster or kennel fees and transportation. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption page and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Update 10/29/23 Still available!  8/14/23 Meet Chessie! This beautiful girl is hoping to find her family. While Chessie looks like a Mastiff, she is not mastiff sized! She’s about 60 pounds and about a year old. Her siblings look nothing like her. We don’t know their breed for sure, only having their looks to go by. Chessie is very sweet and loves people. She is good with other dogs, cats are unknown. She does tend to jump on people and for that reason may not be the best candidate for young kiddos. She wouldn’t hurt them on purpose but may knock them over. Chessie currently lives in an outdoor fenced area at her foster home simply for lack of space. Her foster mom spends lots of time with them, but wouldn’t it be nice for Chessie to find a nice warm couch to cuddle up on? Also, dogs thaf have lived most of their lives outside tend to be easier to house train because going outside is all they’ve known.  Please share this beauty. Adoptions are SLOW but there are still so many dogs in need of rescue. Spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
