Story
Meet Croissant! 3 yrs | 90 Ib Mastiff mix | Adult-only home Saved from a NY shelter with high euthanasia rates, Croissant was given a second chance-and now he's waiting for his person. Croissant is cautious with new people and needs slow, respectful introductions. He'd adjust fastest with a single dedicated adopter, though with time, he can learn to love multiple adults. An experienced, adult-only home where his boundaries are understood is best. He spent over a month at Keep Them Wagging Training Facility in Norwalk, CT, where he learned valuable skills. Continued work with them will help facilitate a strong bond between Croissant and his new family. Croissant loves playful dogs, tasty snacks, and long naps on the couch. He is very affectionate and thinks he's a 5 lb lap dog, LOL! He enjoys going for walks and is always excited to go for a ride in the car. Croissant doesn't need a busy life-just love, patience, structure, and someone willing to earn his trust. If you believe the best bonds take time, Croissant may be your perfect match! Croissant is currently staying in a foster home in Connecticut. Please reach out to his foster mom, Amanda, with any inquiries. (203) 243-0053. * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Story
Reece is a loving dog! She’s about 7 months old. Loves her older brother pup but would do better in a home with kids over 5. Think of her more like a cat, loves naps in the sun wants attention when she wants it but don’t bother her when she’s sleeping. She is 90 percent potty trained. Long nights are hard for her to hold it. She loves her food and will eye your cheeseburger and will absolutely steal it from you if you aren’t looking. She needs room to run and people who have the time to give her all the love she deserves. Happy to provide any other Info as needed.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Urgent need for foster or adopter!! Johnny (renamed to Ozzy) has become urgent. Not because he is dangerous in any way, but because he's inconvenient. He makes a mess in a crate, and barks when left outside, and now neighbors have called the police because he was barking while his adopter went out to dinner. Clearly, he has some separation anxiety and it breaks my heart that he is going to have to make yet another change. He needs a patient adopter. He was NOT like that while he was in Arkansas. He was very well adjusted. I feel that he is not getting nearly enough exercise. I believe that is a big part of the problem. And I think the other part is that he needs more time to adjust. Johnny did great with other non aggressive dogs at doggy daycare while here in Arkansas. He has not been with other dogs since going to his home in January. Johnny adores all people. He did great with kids here, but was never around any really small kids. We have no reason to believe he would not do well with them, but he might accidentally knock them down, because he himself is just a giant baby and doesn't know his size. Johnny is just over 100 lbs, is about 2 years old, and is located in New York. Story
Tangle with the million dollar smile is waiting for his forevers at www.cprdogs.com! If you've been thinking about adopting some puppy love, we think you will not possibly be able to go wrong with Tangle. This little mixed breed puppy is about 12 weeks old, sweet as sugar and would love to be yours. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. Attributes: In training to avoid jumping/pawing Active family He is neutered, microchipped, had recent cherry eye repair and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
