Story
Muscles is about 12 weeks old and ready for a home to call his very own! This handsome chunk of love will be a fun addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Rufio is a gentle soul. He is a little shy and more on the quiet side. He does good with other dogs, even small ones.I just can’t say enough sweet things about this pup. He is good in a car and is learning the leash. It takes a little while for him to trust new people, but once he does, his goofy and sweet personality shines!Rufio is medium energy and would do great with any family with a little patience. Rufio is not completely potty trained. He still marks in the house but is working on that.Located in Houston, Tx. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
Bella has been a faithful companion for over a decade, sharing her days with quiet moments, almost unstoppable playfulness, and unwavering affection. She’s the kind of dog who still lights up at the chance to play, yet is just as happy sitting close by, enjoying gentle attention and company. Time may have taken a toll on her bod, but it hasn’t slowed her spirit one bit! Bella carries the heart of a puppy in an older body. She is loving, loyal, and always ready to be near her people. Unfortunately, due to her owner developing serious allergies around her now, Bella is now looking for a new home. She would thrive with someone who understands the value of an older dog: one who still has plenty of love and energy to give, and who asks only for patience, kindness, and a place to belong.

Story
This sweet girl is Xena! When you first meet her, you’ll realize that she’s two things: gorgeous, number one of course, then you’ll realize how gentle she is. Xena is not the smallest girl in the bunch, however, she is the most calm and laid-back—almost to the point where you will forget she’s there. You can often find her and her doggie bed or on the couch. Those are her happy places. well, anywhere she can lay down is really a happy place for her. If you can’t find her in those two places, you can most likely find her outside sunbathing while her friends romp around in the grass. Life with her is simple and sweet— just as it should be! Watch Xena and get to know her endearing self right here! https://youtu.be/Tw_C3T6JvQg?si=r1DB-Q_90B07U1Zc We believe that Xena is a mix between a mastiff and a Staffordshire terrier. We believe she is around 5 years old! With rescue this is just a guess. However, one thing that we can promise? Lots of love and snuggles in your future. Xena is a gorgeous fawn color with the sweetest droopy puppy dog eyes looking up at you like “are you gonna give me a treat or what?!” She’s a thick girl that’s not running any marathons, but she can promise you that she will be the best snuggle bug in the house. Her Foster’s children love to tuck her in and make her a little burrito in her blankies. She would be the perfect family dog for a family that loves to relax and sit outside having many backyard barbecue nights and morning coffee in the rocking chairs. I could see Xena happily sitting outside with you watching you garden and water the flowers. Xena would really be happy observing anything as long as she gets to lay down. She’s hilarious. But don’t think she’s all naps— Xena enjoys a good trip to the local park where she can watch the kids play and get her exercise in. The best part about going to the park is obviously all the compliments that she receives. “Oh she’s so beautiful!” “What’s her name? She’s gorgeous!” “Xena you are so calm!” Etc. Xena is extremely dog friendly living with four other foster dogs. She gets along well with everyone. she loves to do her own thing at the end of the day. If the other doggies have zoomies, she’ll happily watch them and cheer them on. She greets everyone with a gentle sniff and then she’s on her way to go say hi to the next doggie friend. We think that Xena could fit into really any chill pack because she gets along well with both male and females. Xena’s perfect partner? A chill older pup like herself who enjoys movie nights and couch cuddle puddles. Xena would love a backyard, but one is not required. She is easy as pie on leash and she would love to go on a walk around the apartment complex if that’s what she needed. I could totally see her happily, watching everyone from a balcony taking in the world around her. Her larger size may make her more of a candidate for a house with the backyard, especially because she’s not built for lots of exercise. Lol. We have not seen her with any kitty cats just yet, but we are happy to test her with whatever you may need. Just say the word! Does Xena sound like your girl? Story
Welcome Pocket to CCPAL Rescue. Pocket is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Pocket is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Pocket would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. She would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Pocket’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. She should be 60 pounds full grown. She likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. She will go on a potty pad. She is good with other dogs bigger than herself. Her dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. She is energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. She has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. She has shorter hair a little more like the DOGO dad. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. She is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for her forever home soon. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
