Story
Meet Baxter! Baxter was surrendered and asked to be picked up by ACO when he was just 5 months old. He just turned 2 years old this month. His family said they no longer wanted him because “he wasn’t getting big enough” He’s been with his foster ever since, no fault of his own as a different rescue committed to him and left him behind. Baxter is simply the best and is so deserving of a family of his own. He is high energy and loves to play, he will do great with a family that has older kids. He’s is always ready for an adventure or a hike and then a snuggle session. He LOVES toys especially his jumbler ball. Just make sure to always keep some backups on hand in case needed 😅 he loves running and jumping in the air. Baxter will keep you laughing with his goody antics and joy of everything! He is great with dogs and just wants to play. Who can resist a happy holiday adventurous loving boy like Baxter?! Baxter is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
Welcome Barron to CCPAL Rescue. Barron is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Barron is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Barron would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. He would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Barron’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. He should be 60 pounds full grown. He likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. He will go on a potty pad. He is good with other dogs bigger than himself. His dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. He energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. He has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. He has longer hair a little more like the GP momma. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. He is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Bear Your Main Man is 110 pounds of handsome, and he takes up a very satisfying amount of space beside his person. He’s loving, enjoys being sweet-talked, and is happy to keep you company while you go about your day. His size certainly makes an impression, but the affection is what will have you making room for him at home. And possibly shopping for a bigger dog bed. Go watch Bear on YouTube to see this gorgeous guy out for a stroll, enjoying a drive around town, and soaking up all the love. Copy and paste his YouTube link into your browser: https://youtu.be/NqSan7VHckM We believe Bear is a Mastiff mix, with a look that reminds us of a Neapolitan Mastiff, though his breed is our best guess. He’s gorgeous, substantial, and a surprisingly low-key for a dog who has such a presence. At home, Bear is happy to putz around with you. Going into the kitchen? He might come along. Settling in for a quiet evening? Wonderful. He’ll find a spot to stretch out and become a very large rug. Being near his person and having somewhere comfortable to lounge suits him perfectly. Bear seems especially drawn to women, men are welcome but can you blame a big boy for having heart for a lady? Of course not! For a woman who loves big dogs, his devoted company and impressive presence is a lovely combination. He’s easy to picture beside you during a quiet evening, close enough for an occasional head rub while you unwind. He’s also a wonderful car companion. Bear generally hops right in and settles nicely in the back seat, ready to enjoy the ride. After a longer walk, a little sweet talk may help him decide to make the hop but its no trouble at all despite his size. And if there’s a chance to catch a breeze through an open window, he will be extra pleased to tag along on whatever adventure you choose. Walks with Bear are enjoyable, too. He has a great pace and walks nicely on leash. Squirrels can catch his attention, but he responds well to guidance. At 110 pounds, he’ll need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a large dog and can help him keep his enthusiasm about those pesky squirells in check. Bear knows sit, shake, and down, and he takes his treat payments gently. He also loves the water, so a chance to splash around would be a lovely addition to his otherwise fairly chill and leisurely agenda. If you ask Bear what his dream match would be we are sure he would say - a home where he is the only dog so he can enjoy his people all to himself. That does not mean dogs are not welcome but Bear doesn't need them to be happy. One of his current doggie friends is an easygoing female dog who understands all he wants is peaceful companionship and will pass on wrestling or chasing. Good company on a walk, a handsome passenger in the car, and a big, loving presence at home—Bear is ready to be your main man. A little sweet talk, some room to stretch out, and a person to adore would make him very, very happy. This absolutely gorgeous black brindle big mushy baby boy is Rey!! This amazing pup came in with his siblings after a breeder of rare breed mastiffs had an accidental litter and couldn’t know for sure the dad. They sadly decided to abandon them with rescue, but thankfully an incredible foster home was happy to welcome this gorgeous litter in and give them tons of love until they find their forever homes! Rey is about 23 weeks old and has had all of his medical work completed! He’s been to the vets routinely and has had his boosters, deworming, preventative, microchipping and he’s now neutered! He’s a healthy happy baby and can’t wait to begin his next chapter! Rey has adjusted so beautifully to foster care and is absolutely fantastic with everyone. He has wonderfully sweet, happy, loving puppy energy and loves to play with all people and animals he meets! He is very affectionate, loyal, and incredibly intelligent. He’s doing great going potty outside, he absolutely loooves toys, he’s great with car rides, enjoys the water, and is unbelievably snuggly. He will do great in a home with any combination of animals, or as an only pup. His big dream is parents who loves to snuggle and a yard where he can both play and relax and enjoy nature. He’s had a great foundation in foster care and is ready to start a new life with a loving home where they can continue to raise this amazing baby boy to be the incredible guy he’s destined to be! Story
This gorgeous, black brindle, wonderfully sweet, big mushy baby girl is Canela!! This girl and her siblings were surrendered into Rescue after their owner had an accidental litter. The owner bred rare breed mastiffs, but had a few other dogs. This little girl‘s mom was a 100 lb rare breed mastiff, but they could not confirm who the father was therefore we’re looking to surrender the litter sadly. All of them have markings of rare breed mastiff, with no clear indicator that they have been mixed with anything. They were raised with a family but the family decided they weren’t interested in finding buyers, and surrendered the entire litter to their local dog pound. We were shocked when we received a desperate call for help from the animal control officers. They wanted to ensure these sweet mushy babies made it out of the shelter and into the right rescue, where they would find amazing homes! This girl is now 23 weeks old and she has just had all of her medical work completed! She’s now current on all vaccines, dewormed, she’s current on preventative, microchipped, and spayed! She’s had all the good stuff done and been given a clean bill of health- now she just needs to find her true love! Canela has adjusted very well into her foster home. She’s been fantastic with other dogs, with cats, and with every person she’s met. She has a hearty appetite and getting all the food she needs now! She’s been very social and well adjusted thus far. She has been fantastic with every dog she’s met, both littermates as well as new dogs in play groups. This girl is absolutely amazing! She’s doing great with reliably going potty outside and learning the ropes of being a well loved house dog. As we cannot know for sure her dad, we can’t know how big she’ll mature to be, but we are guessing around 90 lbs. She is extremely devoted to her people and will thrive in a home where there’s a yard, hopefully another pup, and most definitely humans who enjoy a good snuggle on the couch and would like a dog super devoted who will follow you around the house and the yard, and commit their heart to you. She’s extraordinarily intelligent and has had an excellent foundation of socialization this far. She’s longing for a home where she will be a true family member, with people like her; easy going, and committed to forever by her devoted parents. She’s intelligent and playful as she’s a puppy, loving toys and adventure and all the great things puppies can learn about the world. That said, she’s a more relaxed puppy and also just loves snuggling in her downtime. If this beautiful sweet girl is a match for you, and you’d love to adopt her, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org/applicationdogs and submit an application for adoption today!!! **NOTE** to ensure prompt response- please go directly to our website (www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org) to apply, or email (inquiries.rescuematch@aol.com) directly with any questions to ensure your inquiry/application is received by our organization.
