Johnny Cash is a Boerboel Mastiff, he is around 3 & 1/2 years old, he weighs about 120 lbs, nobody is aware of his full past so i’m still trying figure out if he has any triggers, but he is sweet, well trained, quiet, mostly lazy and laid back, has a heart as big as his head, not sure how he is around other animals and children, doesn’t know what personal space is, great on walks but when he gets distracted he’ll want to pull, but i found it easier to keep him from doing that by walking him on a prong collar. i love this dog with all my heart and i hate to even have to do this, but i don’t have the time to give this big boy the love he deserves.

Hello, I'm Tyga. I know that my kennel card says that I have only been here since the 13th of February, but my history at Prairie Paws has sadly been much longer. I first came to the shelter as a stray in December of 2023. The staff tried their best to track down my owner but no one ever came forward to reclaim me. After waiting for a few months, I started to think that my original owner would never come. Just as I was about to give up at the beginning of February, I was reunited with my old owner! I was so excited to see them again. I got to go back home. Everything was starting to go back to "normal." Sadly, our reunion was short-lived. Words like "dump" and "surrender" didn't make sense to me. Soon I was back at the shelter. Broken-hearted and confused, I retreated once again into this all too familiar place. Now I am once again waiting for someone to give me a chance Could you be my saving grace?
