Story
Mildred is a gentle, resilient girl who has already come a long way since coming into care. She is dog friendly, but would do best with a calm, respectful canine companion who understands personal space. Mildred is currently heartworm positive and is on medication as she begins her treatment plan. Due to her age and current health, she is not spayed yet, with a veterinary exception in place. When she first arrived, Mildred was extremely underweight, but with proper care she has already gained healthy weight in just a few short weeks—a true testament to her strength and will to thrive. She is currently in boarding and would love the chance to rest and continue healing in a home environment. If you think Mildred could be a good fit for your home, please consider applying to foster or adopt her today.

Story
Have you ever met a dog who can make you smile just by looking at him? That's Beetle! He’s impossible to miss with his stunning brindle coat. Beetle is a playful, fun-loving guy who loves spending time with people. Whether he's showing off his silly side, chasing a toy, or simply soaking up attention, he has a way of turning ordinary moments into something special. His goofy personality and expressive face keep everyone around him laughing. While Beetle enjoys making human friends, he prefers to take introductions to new dogs at his own pace. Like many dogs, he appreciates having the chance to get comfortable and build confidence before diving into new friendships. He is also looking for a cat-free home where he can be the best version of himself. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a personality that's guaranteed to keep you entertained, Beetle may be the perfect fit for your family! *Recently, after consultation with our veterinary team, Beetle's breed has been updated from a Pit Bull mix to a Mastiff/Boxer mix*

Story
Dog Friendly: No Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, Older Children Uma is a sassy, fun and loyal girl. Because of her unknown past, we can only assume she has had some sort of abuse which is why she does not like or will tolerate being restrained, hugged or forced in any way. Therefore she will need a special family and handler who can be patient and calm, yet a strong leader. They will need time to get to know that fine line of too much or not enough when it comes to her training and corrections. She is very food driven therefore training is fun because she learns quickly. Once she trusts you, she will give you kisses, lay against you, and become very playful. She can get overstimulated with playtime, but she is easily calmed with treats and by doing commands. Uma will need a home with older kids, or no kids, and she needs special instruction and meds for any vet visits.
