Check out Helen!This chunky girl came to PCHS when she wandered onto a property where she did not belong just outside of Spring Valley. The property owners held onto her for a few days while having her scanned for a microchip and looking for her owners. They were unable to find out who she belonged to, so she came to us. We then kept her through her stray hold and we also could not locate her owners. So now, sweet Helen is looking for a new home to call her own. Helen is estimated to be some sort of mastiff mix and is thought to be around 6 years old. She is a bit on the `thick` side, and the vet recommended she loose 10-12 pounds. She currently weighs 109 pounds but a more ideal weight for her would be just under 100. She is a quiet girl who is looking for a home where she can lounge with her people, bask in the morning sun, and go for leisurely walks. She did not get along with the finders female dog. She may do okay with a submissive male dog, but we would want to do a meet and greet to be sure. It is unknown how she would be with cats or kids.
