Story
Meet Daisy!Daisy is a 1-year-old, 65-pound Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws! Rescued as a stray in poor condition, Daisy has been thriving in her foster home and steadily gaining weight. She’s blossomed into a sweet, loving girl who adores bedtime cuddles and following her humans everywhere—they’ll never be alone with her around!Still a playful pup, Daisy has plenty of energy and is house trained and still learning the ropes of training like not jumping on you in excitement. She’s a smart cookie and eager to please, so with patience and consistency, she’ll become an amazing companion. Daisy loves playing with bigger, higher-energy dogs, like her foster family’s huskies, and has shown promise around cats. While she’s still learning to respect feline boundaries, she’s making great progress.Watching Daisy discover toys and grow into her happy, playful self is nothing short of heartwarming. She’s ready to bring her big heart and loyal spirit into a forever home that will love her unconditionally. Could Daisy be your perfect match?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Siggy – Your Loyal, Loving GuardianSiggy is a gorgeous 2-year-old brindle Great Pyrenees mix weighing 82 pounds. She is incredibly sweet, especially with children of all ages (incl. rambunctious toddlers) and gets along well with other dogs in the home. True to her breed mix, Siggy is both intelligent and protective—once you’re part of her pack, she will be fiercely devoted and always have your back.As a Pyrenees, and what we believe to be a Catahoula mix, she has strong guardian instincts. She is deeply bonded to her family “pack”, and is naturally protective. She isn’t aggressive but is true to her instincts as a protector. She’s also very submissive/eager to please—she learns quickly and never needs harsh discipline to understand what’s expected of her.Siggy does have some separation anxiety, but she does fine when she has another dog around for company while her humans are away. While Siggy is incredibly affectionate with her family, she isn’t a fan of crowded public places or strangers approaching her and her “pack”. However, if given the chance to approach others on her own terms, she is gentle and sweet. She would do best in a home that understands and respects her protective nature- one that provides the proper introduction to guests, and provides enough yard space to be a mostly stay-at-home dog, where she can love on, sunbathe, and protect, her family.Commands she knows:-sit-shake-leave it-drop itIf you’re looking for a fiercely loyal, intelligent, and loving companion who will always be by your side, Siggy is the perfect match.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
This 1-year-old Mastiff mix has a striking brindle coat and a big personality to match! Weighing 52 pounds, Chomps is an energetic and playful girl with a flair for the dramatic, prancing and galloping like a little horse around the yard. She is ready to find a family that will appreciate her quirks and help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.Crate-trained and house-trained (with an occasional accident), Chomps loves to snuggle in bed or curl up with a blanket she’s pulled into her crate. She loves chewing on toys and bones, a habit that inspired her adorable name! Be prepared for lots of enthusiastic nibbling and endless bone-chewing sessions. While she's still learning how to be the best roommate, she is vocal and will let you know how she’s feeling, so she’s not a good fit for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos).Chomps thrives on attention and loves to play! She’s great with kids of all ages, but her high-energy play style and tendency to jump mean she’ll need guidance to play appropriately. A confident resident dog will be required to help her learn the ropes, and her future family should help to continue her socialization. While she hasn’t met cats yet, she’d likely do well in a structured and supervised introduction. With her higher energy level, she’ll need daily exercise—walks, playtime, or any activity to keep her busy. Chomps' future home will need a fenced yard to give her space to run and play. If you’re looking for a high-energy, fun-loving, and affectionate dog who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, Chomps is ready to be your new best friend! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Meet D.O.G – The Gentle GiantD.O.G is a lovable, extra-large Mastiff/Great Dane mix with a heart as big as his 108-pound frame. At nine years old, this easygoing, affectionate boy is a true couch potato who just wants to be close to his people. His calm demeanor and gentle nature make him a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal, laid-back best friend!D.O.G is the definition of a gentle giant. He adores human companionship and will happily lounge by your side, gently pawing at you if you stop petting him too soon. His signature move? A happy tail wag that goes in circles when he’s feeling content!Despite his size, he’s incredibly sweet and well-mannered. He has shown no reactivity to other dogs, and enjoys meeting new canine friends! He also does great with cats, living peacefully with multiple felines in his foster home—he may give them a sniff or a lick, but if they hiss, he quickly backs off like the big softie he is!While he hasn’t met children yet, his calm nature suggests he would do well, though due to his size, he may be best suited for a home with older kids.D.O.G is house-trained but may mark in a new environment until he settles in. He is crate-trained and does well in a large kennel/run, though he is so relaxed and low-energy that crating may not even be necessary—his favorite place is the couch, right next to you! While he is a laid-back boy, he is very strong on leash and will need an adopter who can work with him on leash manners. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to have a safe space to explore and stretch his legs without needing too much leash time.D.O.G’s story is a heartbreaking yet hopeful one—his previous owner passed away three years ago, and kind neighbors kept him fed until he was rescued. Now, he is finally getting the love and attention he deserves! He arrived with a wound on his leg, which is now healing well. He has tested positive for Lyme disease and is currently undergoing treatment. If you’re looking for a big, lovable companion who just wants to snuggle, D.O.G is your guy. He has been through a lot but remains incredibly affectionate and grateful for the love he receives. Whether he’s wagging his tail in happy circles, lounging on the couch, or pawing at you for more pets, he will steal your heart in no time. Are you ready to give this gentle giant the forever home he deserves? D.O.G can’t wait to meet you! Story
This 1-year-old, Bully/Mastiff/Corso/Shepherd mix is a sweet and playful pup who radiates happiness—just wait until you see her signature smile! Currently weighing 52 pounds, Tina is a sweet and affectionate dog who thrives on praise and attention. At home, she is a cuddle bug and loves to crawl on your lap or snuggle in next to you on the couch. She has a timid nature but once she warms up to you she will be your loyal companion and loves to be involved in whatever is going on. Tina is house and crate-trained, and sleeps in her crate at night. However, she can be trusted on her own outside of her crate, too (just put your remote controls away!). She is generally a calm dog, but will get the occasional zoomies and enjoys zipping around the yard. When Tina is ready to play, she loves zoomies in the yard, gnawing on her favorite bones, and collecting rocks! She loves finding rocks in the yard and hiding them in her special corner of the patio (and trying to sneak them in the house). Tina would love a fenced yard to give her the outdoor playtime she craves. She does not really like walks so being able to roam and run freely in the yard has been her main outlet for sniffs and exercise.Tina is well socialized to other dogs, has a submissive nature, and gets along great with her resident foster brother. She would be fine as a solo dog or with canine pals. She plays great with kids and enjoys interacting with other dogs, though she may bark at at first. If you’re looking for a sweet, smiley, and playful furry friend who will bring boundless energy and affection to your life, Tina might just be your perfect match! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
