Meet Zulu, the majestic 2-year-old Lab/Mastiff mix, weighing in at a solid 93 pounds. With strength and handsomeness to spare, Zulu is seeking a patient home to help him overcome his nervousness in the shelter. Sadly surrendered when his owner passed away, Zulu longs for a loving family to call his own. We recommend setting up a meet and greet with your dog before adoption to make sure it's a perfect match.Adoption Fee: $200, includes spay/neuter, and all veterinary care as needed. If interested in meeting, please stop in during open hours, Tuesday-Saturday 12-5:00 pm. Story
Douglas is 3 years old and the absolute sweetest dog, he absolutely loves cuddling, he's good with kids , gets a little to excited around babies but he does love them. He's also kennel trained. I need to re-home one of my dogs because they really don't like each other. Douglas is very tolerant but after so much bullying by other dog he's defending himself. I need him to go to a loving home!

Story
Libby is a two-year-old Caucasian Shepherd that was found as a stray. She does have a permanent health condition that makes her Special Needs. We noticed right away that she has a strange gait and we were concerned, so she saw a specialist. The tests showed some undetermined neurological issues and arthritis, as well as dysplasia in all four limbs. This causes her to walk in a wobbly way. These things do not stop this determined, lovable girl ,though. She will &#194&#147run&#194&#148 around the yard and play with the kids, and chew on bones all day long. She is a very unique dog that will need a particular home to spend the rest of her life in. There are some specific requirements for her to safely walk aruond. Minimal stairs, and carpet or a lot of area rugs. The home will also need a gated yard with open access to the door, such as a sliding door, French doors, or a door that is not on a landing or down steps. Most importantly, she needs a home with all the love and kisses to give to her! Regular trips to the groomer Libby is great with kids and has been in her foster home for a few months with 9, 7, and 3 year old kids. She also is currently living with two other large breed dogs. She would likely do best in a home with non guardian breeds, and has not been around smaller dogs. She has only been around cats once that we know of, and she didn't seem like a huge fan of them. Libby is currently on an anti-inflammatory medication twice a day, potentially for the rest of her life, cost is around $60-$70 a month. She is a big girl and with that also comes lots of food. She eats about 7-8 cups of food a day, and the water bowl will always need refilling. Libby is just a big cuddly bear that needs all the love she can get. Please contact us if you have questions or would like an application to adopt. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**May 2, 2024, 4:56 pm

Story
Biltmore here! I am a 3-year-old, 58-pound Mastiff/German Shepherd mix. I was a neighborhood stray and, when no one tried to keep me safe, I wandered into the road and got hit by a car. I ended up in a shelter with a broken leg, and that's when I found my way to this rescue. Unfortunately, I had to have my leg amputated, but happily it doesn't slow me down any. Plus, now I'm off the streets and living with an amazing family who has committed to helping me find my way to my forever family! I'm pretty good at walking on a leash, and I'm house and crate trained. I'm friends with the other dogs in my foster home, and I love spending time with the kids. I'm a happy boy with a wagging tail who loves snuggles. Might as well say my last name is Campbell's because I am an MMM MMM GOOD boy. Let's keep each other warm on a cold night! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 3 years Adoption fee: $300
