Story
Meet Clifford!! ❤️🐾 Yes, that Clifford… big heart, big paws, and an even bigger personality! Clifford came in as a stray on 1/28/26, and we think he’s about 10 months old. And oh my goodness—could there be a more perfect name? Clifford is a giant, lovable goofball who seems to think the whole world is his best friend. He has lots of puppy energy and absolutely no idea how big he is, which just adds to his charm. Just like the famous Clifford, he’s big and strong—but also incredibly gentle. He walks surprisingly well on a leash and is eager to learn all the important “big puppy” lessons still ahead of him. Expect joyful romps, clumsy kisses, and a dog who loves with his whole enormous heart. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will fill your home with laughter, love, and maybe knock a thing or two over with his tail… Clifford is your guy! Hurry in to meet this big red-dog-energy sweetheart. 📍 Clifford is located at: Richland County Dog Shelter, Mansfield, OH 📞 Phone: 419-774-5892 📧 Adoption applications: dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Gentle soul and quiet strength. Willow is a sweet momma with a heart of gold full of devotion. True to her name, she has bent but never broken – showing incredible resilience and gentleness throughout her journey. Willow is an exceptional mamma to her 6 puppies, proving just how nurturing and loving she is. She thrives on human connection and will do best in a home where she is seldom alone. She is excellent with all humans, big, small, young, old, and gets along well with other dogs. Willow is completely housebroken and can be trusted freely in the home. She does not do well to be confined (crates or gates), but when given room, she is calm, respectful, and settles beautifully. Loyal, affectionate and steady, Willow is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be near her people. PERSONALITY: Calm, affectionate, needs to be near her people. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Cuddling. Snuggling. Hugs. Willow initiates long hugs with her people and will gently lean in further to let you know she wants a bit more. MEDICAL ISSUES: Hips seem to tighten up, so no slippery floors anywhere. One single paw on hardwood floor will slip out from under her even just moving from rug to rug. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Willow will need to be spayed before she goes to her new home. She is looking for a home where there is someone home all day long with her. Even trips to the grocery store where she’s left home alone make her sad. She doesn’t like situations where she thinks she can be left behind. Car rides are her bread and butter, and she will gladly go anywhere with you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
