Story
Meet Miss Meatball! This beautiful brindle girl is Miss Meatball, a 2-year-old Mastiff mix who found herself at ARC after being picked up as a stray. Unfortunately, no one came forward to reclaim her, so now she’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her very own. Miss Meatball may have a big name and an even bigger head, but there’s a whole lot to love packed into this girl. She’s settling into shelter life while we continue learning more about her personality. When it comes to other dogs, Miss Meatball can be selective about her canine friends, so any potential doggy siblings would need to meet her here at the shelter to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good match. One thing we know for sure? That face is pretty hard to resist. Her life before ARC may be a mystery, but we’re hoping her future includes a couch, plenty of love, and someone who thinks having a Meatball in the family sounds pretty perfect.

He is good in a car and is learning the leash. It takes a little while for him to trust new people, but once he does, his goofy and sweet personality shines!Rufio is medium energy and would do great with any family with a little patience. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Melvin is a young Boerboel mix, estimated to be about 1 year old, who came to us as a stray. We don't know much about his past, but we are excited to help him findthe bright future he deserves. Melvin is a big, goofy boy with an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves other dogs, especially dogs his own size, and nothing makes him happier than a good game of chase or some rough-and-tumble wrestling with a canine friend. Because he's still young, he's full of energy and doesn't always realize just how big he is. One of Melvin's sweetest qualities is how quickly he bonds with his people. He's a true shadow dog who wants to be wherever you are. Whether you're making dinner, watching TV, or working around the house, you will find a big slobbery face following right behind you. He loves being part of the family and is happiest when he's included. Melvin already has a great foundation for his new family. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making the transition into his forever home that much easier. He still has plenty to learn, and needs someone who will teach him. He's been around children and has done well, though his size and enthusiastic play style mean he'll do best with a family that can help him continue learning good manners. Melvin is eager to please and will thrive with patient guidance, regular exercise, and lots of opportunities to play. Melvin should not be placed in a home with cats. He simply wants to play with them the same way he plays with big dogs, and because of his size and rough play style, it's just not safe for feline friends. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side, make you laugh with his oversized puppy antics, and happily cover you in a little slobber along the way, Melvin may be the perfect fit. He didn't get to choose how his story started, but he's more than ready for a family to help write the rest of it. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Your new, lovable sidekick awaits! HISTORY: Unknown. Found abandoned in Kentucky with his mom                                                   PERSONALITY: Norman is such a sweet, mild-mannered boy. He is still shy when meeting new people and can be fearful of men/reactive to loud noises, but once he knows you, he is a total love bug! Norman thinks that all dogs and cats are just friends he hasn’t met yet, but he also respects when this opinion isn’t reciprocated. Since Norman is still young, he enjoys some bouts of playfulness, but he also enjoys his naps and sleeping in. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Carrying around his toys, making new friends, being close to his person/people, and being loved on. MEDICAL ISSUES: No known issues.  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME:  Norman would love to have a home where he gets plenty of love and attention, and hopefully has some four-legged friends to play with. Although he is doing fairly well with house-training, he will need someone that understands his cues. He will also need someone that understands that he is still a puppy and doesn’t know the difference between an acceptable toy and your slippers. Norman is also quite the ladies man and seems to prefer females over males for his human(s). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
