Story
Two 5 year old males. One of them does not get along with my small frenchie. We also just don’t have the time or space they deserve. They don’t get a lot of attention because of how busy we are. They are the sweetest gentle giants. They love to cuddle and try to sit in your lap. I got Adonis when he was 8 weeks old and the Tantor when they were 2. They are brothers from the same litter. They love to play and run. They love toys especially ones they can tug a war with.

Story
A Cuddly, Jolly, Bundle of Joy Meet Spud, a charming, goofy, roly-poly puppy looking for a home. This puppy brings joy and smiles wherever he goes. This sweet potato came to us as a community surrender and is currently recovering from ringworm. Ringworm is a treatable fungal infection of the skin and dogs recover fully from it, but it is an intensive treatment process involving medicated baths and dips; frequent deep cleaning of bedding and environment; medication; and quarantine from other pets. Spud is finishing up his treatment and recovering beautifully. Born around mid-April, we think Spud is a bull mastiff mix and will be around 60 pounds of strong pup when full grown. Bull Mastiffs are renowned for being loving, loyal, gentle, and protective, with a touch of stubbornness thrown in to the mix. Spud embodies a lot of these traits already; he loves to cuddle and snuggle, he enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home, and he can have a bit of a stubborn streak (being on a leash interferes with his desire to explore). A medium energy puppy, Spud is hilarious when he plays. He alternates racing after the bigger dogs in short bursts with slow lumbering around the house. He will romp a bit, flop on toys, chew, play tug, roll around, and then saunter off to find someone to snuggle with and recover. He is still doing a lot of napping at this age, so down time is important to him. Spud is coming along well in his home manners. This puppy is an enthusiastic eater who has figured out his sit command. He’s progressing well through his potty training, and a consistent schedule helps at his young age. He does wake once a night to potty, and his snores are really endearing. He is working on his crate training; he sleeps well in it at night but will complain if people are home and he cannot join them. Speaking of people, this social pup loves people, especially if they offer him food. He hasn’t met children yet, and older kids would probably be best, as Spud will be a large, enthusiastic pup without the best sense of personal space or concept of his size. Spud sleeps in the car; he is a chill traveling companion. He wants to play with the cats in his foster home, so a dog savvy cat would be best, and probably no unsupervised play around chickens (they are too tempting for him). Spud would flourish with adopters who have had large breed dog experience and are not phased by the stubbornness that is part of the Bull mastiff personality. We are currently taking applications for Spud, and he will be available to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery, on or about August 7. In the meantime, he is getting lots of love, attention and playtime in his foster home where he is growing into a happy, healthy puppy ready for his new adventures. Ready to adopt? Now what?   Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at: www.lilaccitypupproject.org. Our adoption team will spring into action! You will have a phone call conversation with a dedicated adoption counselor, and the adoption team will contact your vet(s), if applicable. Once you have been matched with a dog, a meet and greet will be set up and take place at the foster family's home. After the meet and greet, there will be a home inspection and in-home trial prior to adoption finalization. Lilac City Pup Project is entirely volunteer and foster run, with no kennel facility. Only approved adoption applicants will be able to meet our dogs outside of adoption events. Adoption Donations: $350 for Puppies up to 9 months $300 for Adults 9 months or older *includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, and microchip. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Lilac City Pup Project is a federal 501c3 organization. Not sure you want to adopt, foster first and adopt later! LCPP is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. LCPP covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide love and a soft place to crash. At Lilac City Pup Project we strive to better the lives of vulnerable dogs through rescue, foster, and adoption services; educate dog owners and empower them to build successful human/canine relationships; and support the local community by partnering with shelters facing overcrowding and limited resources. LCPP is organized exclusively for public, charitable, and/or educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. LCPP is a Nonprofit organization formed in Washington State in April 2025, by passionate dog lovers. One hundred percent (100%) of every dollar goes to furthering our tax-exempt purpose.
