Meet Scrappy, a 4-year-old Mastiff who is a solid, fully-grown 112 pounds of gentle giant goodness. Despite the tough-sounding name, this Scrappy is all about calm, cozy holiday energy—more “big dog by the fireplace” than “rowdy reindeer.” In the shelter he’s been very pleasant, chill, easy to leash, easy to walk, potty trained, and happily food-motivated (a true fan of seasonal snacks). He may be a big guy, but his manners are soft and his presence is steady and comforting. Scrappy may need a little time to warm up—like a winter morning that starts chilly and ends sunny—but once he does, he’s cool, he’s cool, he’s very cool. He’s the kind of dog who would absolutely supervise tree decorating, quietly judge wrapping paper choices, and patiently wait for treats like it’s a beloved holiday tradition. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered Mastiff to bring some calm joy into your home this season, Scrappy is ready to be your new favorite tradition.The dog adoption fee is $90. Hi, I’m Dolly! I’m a wild child who loves to play and have fun. I’m strong and full of energy, but I walk well on a leash and respond really well to redirection when I get a little too excited. I’m very dog friendly and I’m fully potty trained. People say I remind them of Bam Bam from The Flintstones — full of energy, strong, and impossible not to love. If you’re looking for a playful, spirited companion who will keep you laughing and active, I’m your girl! I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo!
