Baby is 3.5 years old and mostly a sweetheart. While she got along fine with cats with her previous owner, she isn't with mine. And she is 95% good with kids, but resource guards, so she will snap and lunge - even if they are ignoring her and several feet away. She eats their toys. The other concern aside my cat and children is she does need to be retrained. She wants to leave the house (she loves car rides so drive to get her, as she doesn't come when called). She can sit, lay, and shake, and loces her kennel. She loves playing with our other dog, but does not like that dog near her food. She would do well with someone experienced in desensitizing her from lights onnthe ceiling/wall/floor. And with someone who could redirect potties. She is trained but decides to go inside and positive guidance has not worked with me. She walks well with her harness. She loves to go up to people for belly rubs, but hold on tight when she sees another dog.

Welcome Pocket to CCPAL Rescue. Pocket is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Pocket is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Pocket would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. She would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Pocket’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. She should be 60 pounds full grown. She likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. She will go on a potty pad. She is good with other dogs bigger than herself. Her dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. She is energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. She has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. She has shorter hair a little more like the DOGO dad. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. She is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for her forever home soon. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Sophie is such a very sweet girl!! Her goal in life is to just please anyone that is around. She is also a very independent dog and takes little to no effort if you have things to be doing. She is an English Mastiff DRY mouth! the only drool problem is right after drinking and is easily resolved with a simple pat of a towel. She grew up with my daughters and son and is very good with kids and adults, male or female. Honestly might be one of the most gentle and well mannered dogs i have ever known! Takes commands very well and is highly food motivated. Current commands are sit, lay, outside, out of kitchen and crate. very well crate trained as all of my dogs eat all meals in them to allow for digestion for an hour to prevent stomach torsion I don’t have the time after my wife passed to properly care for her or my other dogs anymore unfortunately. I don’t know how she would respond with farm animals but I imagine she would be a wonderful farm dog!
