I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Story
Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. Attributes: In training to avoid jumping/pawing Active family Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Boudica, a spirited and affectionate young female (born 8/23/25) with a heart full of joy and a motor that just won't stop! This adorable Bernese/Mastiff mix (possibly with a little Rhodesian Ridgeback in the stew) absolutely lives for playtime, specifically the high-octane thrill of chasing after a ball, making her the perfect partner for an active owner who loves engaging with their pup. When she is not busy on the field, Boudica is a certified cuddlebug who adores receiving behind-the-ear scratches, leaning into you for affection. To keep her busy during downtime, she loves gnawing on nice cow bones, which she treats as her ultimate treasure. While she is full of confidence during playtime, Boudica can be a little skittish when encountering new or loud noises, a typical trait for a previously socially isolated pup still learning about the world. However, she has shown incredible resilience and has acclimated wonderfully since arriving at the shelter, proving she is quick to learn and eager to feel secure. She has a very high puppy energy level and would thrive in a home that can keep up with her playfulness. Regarding her feline friends, she is exceptionally interested in kitties and is not cat-aggressive; because of her intense puppy curiosity and energy, she will require a home that can facilitate slow, structured introductions to cats to ensure everyone gets along. She does well with other dogs, and should adapt well to calm children. Boudica currently weighs about 50# and is housetrained. She is currently learning about leash walking and will need continued training in that area post-adoption. If you are looking for a loyal, energetic, and loving companion to join your adventures, Boudica is ready for you. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Boudica is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Freya, an affectionate and playful young girl (born 8/23/25) who is absolutely ready to fill your home with joy and high-energy fun. Freya, a Bernese/Mastiff mix (with possibly a little Rhodesian Ridgeback thrown in there) is the ultimate companion for someone looking for a fun-loving dog who absolutely loves to be petted, adored, and receive plenty of attention, though she may occasionally pivot to the next exciting thing when something else grabs her attention. Although not obvious in her video, her favorite pastime is actually playing fetch, or more accurately, the exhilarating chase-the-ball part of playing fetch, followed by a well-deserved, long, and satisfying chew on a cow bone. While she is a 50# puppy with high, enthusiastic energy, she is also a sweetheart who is learning about the world. She can be a little skittish when it comes to new or unfamiliar noises, but she has shown remarkable resilience and has adjusted very nicely and quickly since arriving at the shelter. She is mostly housetrained (though will need reinforcement for this training during her first few weeks in a new location. She finds other dogs to be a bit overwhelming, with the exception of her sister Boudica, so would prefer to be the only dog in the family. Freya is very interested in kitties; she is not cat-aggressive and would simply need a slow, structured introduction to feline friends to ensure everyone feels comfortable. She will require a little patience during her first weeks with a new family, while she learns she is safe and home at last. Thankfully, Freya is very fond of treats, so it should be easy to win her over quickly in her new home. With her sweet nature and love for activity, Freya is looking for a patient, loving family to help her continue to build confidence and be an amazing, cherished part of their lives. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Freya is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! 🍄meet our mastiff mix bbs🍄 this litter was owner surrender to our buds at whatcom humane society at around 6 weeks old. that’s way too young for lil bbs to be hanging out in a big scary shelter so we pulled the litter into foster homes w us to give them a calm loving safe place to grow up while they wait for their forever families💖 they were surrendered as mastiff mixes, infested w fleas, and swollen wormy bellies. we are helping them get healthy and get started on their vaccine protocols. when they are 8 weeks old they will be ready for their own forever families🤞🏼 they are currently working on potty training, crate training, and living w dogs cats kids and adults from the foster 3/9/26: Bella is more calm, quiet and relaxed. She loves wrestling with her sister and trying to play with my big dog. She also loves snuggles. so was going. Both are doing great with potty training! I get up with them once each night around 3am for a poop/pee outside. They have a space with a crate that has a soft blanket + a small walled area with toys and a puppy pad. They usually each pee once overnight on the potty pad, but no accidents other than that for two days!
