Story
I got Trixie from PACC in November last year. She is a 3 years old dachshund. She is very scared and easily spooked she has an amazing personality and loves her people just takes her time with new people. She is outgoing, loves to play. I am looking to re home her because I work a lot and have cats so she is kennel trained and I just feel that she deserves better and someone that can take the time to help her and be there for her.

Story
RESCUE-ONLY DEADLINECLOSE OF BUSINESS SUNDAY May 24thMust be pulled by a partnered rescue Name: Precious Animal ID: A899374 Age: 1 yearWeight: 16.5lbsWeb Link: 24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A899374About: Meet Precious, a sweet and charming one-year-old Dachshund mix who is ready to melt your heart and find her forever home. This friendly little lady is an absolute dream on walks, showing off excellent leash manners that make her the perfect partner for daily strolls and neighborhood explorations. If you have a pocket full of treats, you will have her undivided attention; Precious is highly food-motivated, which makes her incredibly eager to please and a fantastic candidate for continued positive-reinforcement training. She has also spent time socializing at the shelter, where she has done very well interacting with other small dogs.Precious is an affectionate dog with a wonderful foundation, but she will do best with an adopter who understands canine body language and can provide a structured environment. Her history includes a redirected bite on her record, which occurred when her previous owner attempted to grab her during a high-distraction moment outside while another dog and neighbor were passing by. Because she can over-arouse and reactively turn when startled or physically restrained in exciting situations, she needs a patient, savvy handler who can guide her through stressful moments using focus exercises rather than sudden physical management. With the right setup and an understanding companion, Precious has all the potential to be a deeply loyal and adventurous sidekick. She is entirely ready to leave her shelter days behind and step into the stable, loving life she truly deserves. If you are looking for a bright, treat-loving girl to share your life and adventures with, come meet Precious today and see if she is the perfect match for your home.Adoption Process:All interested parties must meet the dog at PACC before their deadline. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with. Once introductions are complete and if the IP has decided this dog may be a good fit, the process is as follows:Interested parties:•Must visit PACC before the COB SUNDAY MAY 24TH deadline to meet with an adoption counselor who will go over notes and introduce you to the dog.•Are encouraged to reach out to a rescue group ASAP (even before coming
