Story
Pups don't come any cuter than Cypress! Cypress is about a year old, and he's a sweet and charming boy who is irresistibly adorable with his wrinkly forehead. He can be a little bashful when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long before he is your new BFF and wants all of the pets - especially belly rubs! He is the perfect moderate-energy companion for someone who wants a walking and cuddling buddy. Cypress is fully grown and weighs about 16lbs. Cypress was found as a stray and brought to a local animal shelter. After weeks of not being adopted, we were happy to step up and welcome him into the rescue. He has been thriving in foster care and has shown to be a very well-mannered little guy. Cypress is the cuddle master and is the perfect little heated blanket for these cold nights. He loves to snuggle with his foster mom and is a big fan of getting cozy under the blankets. Cypress loves his walks around the neighborhood and would be a wonderful companion for someone who needs an excuse to get out at least once a day, but doesn't want a super active dog. He seems like a great fit to live with a senior person or couple. Cypress is a well-behaved guy, but doesn't seem to have any formal training, so he is still learning things like sit. He will need a family dedicated to continuing his training. He is a very food-motivated boy! Cypress loved playing with other small dogs at the shelter, but has been content being the only dog in his foster home. He could do well living with another dog (or dogs) or as an only dog. Cypress has been doing very well living with a kitty and is happy to ignore the cat. Cypress could be a good addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Cypress has been doing very well with his housetraining. He also has been doing well hanging out in his crate while his foster mom is at work and overnight. Cypress has been doing well living in an apartment. Cypress is such a wonderful little guy, and he can't wait to find his fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an application today! Cypress's adoption fee is $250. Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/ Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org) It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
