Athena and Aries must be rehomed together as they are a bonded pair. THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. THIS DOG IS NOT IN OUR CARE. This dog is being rehomed by its owner. Little Paws Doggie Rescue has not met or evaluated the dog and relays information supplied by the source without checking accuracy or veracity. We do not warrant health, temperament, or suitability and are not a party to any adoption. All inquiries, screening, fees, and contracts must go through its owner. Interested parties must conduct their own due diligence to determine if this dog is a suitable adoption for their situation. Meet Aries & Athena! 🐾 This adorable bonded brother and sister duo are looking for their forever home together! 💕 These purebred dachshunds were born on the same day and have been inseparable ever since, and they're hoping to find a family who will love them both as a package deal. About Aries & Athena: 🛋️ The Ultimate Lap Dogs - These two sweet souls live for cuddles, belly rubs, and giving you their undivided attention. Once they feel comfortable with you, they will plant themselves right in your lap and never want to leave! 🐾 Calm & Gentle - Aries and Athena are naturally calm, attentive dogs who simply need a little time to warm up to new people. Once they get a few barks out and get to know you, they are the most loving companions you could ask for. 🚶 Walk Enthusiasts - These two absolutely love going for walks and will remind you that adventure is just a leash away! They are both on the heavier side, so could benefit from an active family who love taking them out on daily walks to help them get in shape. What to know: Aries and Athena are initially shy, but do well with other dogs after a proper introduction, and while they are tolerant of cats, they may bark at them occasionally. Aries can experience mild anxiety when left alone, but he settles right down with a little attention and a warm lap to sit on. Story
We acquired Winston in June 2025 after his momma passed away. We have 2 other dogs, a male and female. We've noticed Winston doesn't get along well with male dogs and prefers women. He is housebroken but occasionally pees in the house. Unsure why, but does well with a dog door. When we first got him we didn't have a dog door and put out a pee pad and he would use it. We assume his momma used these as well. He doesn't chew on shoes but I go to Goodwill periodically to get him blankets, as he likes to chew them, so he doesn't get our blankets. He's a sweet dog and he still likes to play. He plays with our female dog daily. And he likes to chase me around the house. Unsure how old he is. Somewhere between 10-15. Doesn't appear to have any health conditions, other than being overweight, which we've been working on.

Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
She’s 1 years old and she is an absolute sweetie pie. She’s very shy and she bark at new people but she’ll learn to get comfortable and love you. She is potty trained on pee mats and loves the outdoors. She does tend to get scared easily but she is super playful. My schedule got super busy and I am unable to give her the attention she needs. What I am looking for in a home for her is just super loving and caring people who can give her all the love and attention she deserves.

Story
George came into us from another rescue. One of their advocates was able to rescue him on the street and take care of all of the medical to get him healthy. But they found that he was extremely fearful and they did not have the proper situation for him to try to work through his fear. He came to our rescue in the middle of May 2023. He is terrified of being touched. We are not sure if it was caused by abuse or if he's never experienced human touch. After working with him it's very clear that he would love to be loved he is just unsure how to proceed. He will need an adult who is patience and understanding with him but also confident enough to give him direction so that he can feel supported while working through his fears. A home with no children is recommended and he does really well with small confident and kind dogs.
