Story
Layla is about 12years old. My daughter gave her to me about 7 years ago. She got Layla from a shelter in San Antonio TX. She is a sweet and affectionate dog and just needs someone who can give her the attention she needs. An older owner would probably be best. She loves to go on walks and is not a picky eater. I am traveling more for work so I am gone frequently. She loves to be around people and will not leave your side.

Story
9/1/22 estimated birthday. Roxi and her sister Ginny street abandoned in an orchard. They stayed there for a week in a storm waiting for their family to come back. It took me 4.5 hrs to catch them. They were afraid of me then when I got them home they thought I was their best friend. Roxi is a very happy girl. She loves belly rubs. She follows me around happily. She likes to be on the couch and hang on my lap. She loves with foster cats and is doing well. I dint know if she is potty trained.. We run our home a bit like a shelter with multiple foster dogs. She has kennel time, house time and yard time on a schedule. Fixed, deworm treatments and microchiped. I'm not sure of the breed mix. Just going by her body.

Story
Paisley is an absolutely adorable 4 1/2-month-old Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua) mix weighing 9.5 pounds, with a lovely tan, smooth coat. She was born (04/7/25). She’s a little shy but very sweet, and she’s looking for a loving forever home—either alone or with her siblings Piper, Parker, and Prince. Her story is heartwarming—her mom was purchased for just $20 from a homeless man, and when she was pregnant, the family who bought her didn’t realize she was expecting. Thankfully, she delivered her puppies safely, and now Paisley and her siblings are ready to bring joy to new families. Paisley is scheduled to be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. As a puppy, she will need house training and leash training when old enough, but she’s eager to learn and love. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this sweet little girl? Paisley can’t wait to become a cherished member of your family! If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. Our half brother abandoned this sweet boy, and we would like to find a forever home for him as we already have animals of our own to take care of. Story
Meet Buddy the Elf - the cutest little sidekick around! Buddy is estimated to be 5 years old, and he is an adorable little man with a heart full of love. He is a cheerful guy who loves cuddles, playtime, and tasty treats. He is always wagging his tail and is happy to join along for whatever the day brings. Buddy weighs about 9lbs. Buddy was found as a stray and found himself at a Central California animal shelter. We were rescuing another pup from the shelter he was at, and were happy to have him tag along and join the rescue, too. He has been thriving in foster care and has been charming us all with his affectionate personality. Like his namesake, Buddy loves to socialize and is quick to make new friends, both human and dog. He loves to stroll around downtown Davis with his foster mom and is a great little walking buddy. Buddy is also a total lap dog and is happy to stay cozy with you on the couch on cold nights. He will get bursts of puppy energy and loves to play with his toys and the resident dog in his foster home. He is a moderate-energy pup who would be a wonderful companion for a first-time dog owner. Buddy has done great living with a larger dog and could be a great friend for a pup wanting a brother. He also probably wouldn't mind being the center of attention as the only dog. We haven't seen Buddy around cats, but we suspect that he would do well living with dog-savvy cats after a slow introduction. Buddy could be a great addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Buddy has been doing great with his house and crate training. He is content to hang out in his crate during the work day and sleeps in there overnight, although he would be more than happy to cuddle in bed with you if you let him. Buddy could do well living in an apartment with proper daily exercise. Buddy is such a wonderful little guy, and he can't wait to find his fur-ever family! If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Buddy's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
Pups don't come any cuter than Cypress! Cypress is about a year old, and he's a sweet and charming boy who is irresistibly adorable with his wrinkly forehead. He can be a little bashful when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long before he is your new BFF and wants all of the pets - especially belly rubs! He is the perfect moderate-energy companion for someone who wants a walking and cuddling buddy. Cypress is fully grown and weighs about 16lbs. Cypress was found as a stray and brought to a local animal shelter. After weeks of not being adopted, we were happy to step up and welcome him into the rescue. He has been thriving in foster care and has shown to be a very well-mannered little guy. Cypress is the cuddle master and is the perfect little heated blanket for these cold nights. He loves to snuggle with his foster mom and is a big fan of getting cozy under the blankets. Cypress loves his walks around the neighborhood and would be a wonderful companion for someone who needs an excuse to get out at least once a day, but doesn't want a super active dog. He seems like a great fit to live with a senior person or couple. Cypress  is a well-behaved guy, but doesn't seem to have any formal training, so he is still learning things like sit. He will need a family dedicated to continuing his training. He is a very food-motivated boy! Cypress loved playing with other small dogs at the shelter, but has been content being the only dog in his foster home. He could do well living with another dog (or dogs) or as an only dog. Cypress has been doing very well living with a kitty and is happy to ignore the cat. Cypress could be a good addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Cypress has been doing very well with his housetraining. He also has been doing well hanging out in his crate while his foster mom is at work and overnight. Cypress has been doing well living in an apartment. Cypress is such a wonderful little guy, and he can't wait to find his fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Cypress's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website  (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application.
