Story
Meet Sydney! 🌼 This beautiful 1-year-old, 11-pound long-haired dachshund mix has had such an inspiring transformation since arriving at the rescue. When she first came in, Sydney was timid and unsure, keeping to herself and watching the world from a distance. But with time, gentle care, and patient encouragement… she blossomed. Now? Sydney is a total lovebug! 💖 She seeks out attention, enjoys being snuggled, and happily greets the people she trusts. Her confidence grows more every day, and she’s showing us just how sweet and affectionate she truly is. Sydney absolutely adores other dogs and will thrive in a home with a friendly, confident canine companion to show her the ropes. She’s especially fond of our boy Muggle — they make quite the cute pair! If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet girl who’s ready to keep growing in a loving home, Sydney might just be the perfect match.

Story
Meet Rocky, a super cute 3-4 year old neutered male dachshund mix! This little guy weighs about 14 lbs, but he packs a lot of personality into his small size! Rocky is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids (older kids 8+ recommended, as he is an energetic little guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child).  From Rocky's current foster:  "Rocky is a happy, wiggly snugglebug who loves everyone he meets. He is fully potty trained and crate trained, and he settles nicely once he has had a little playtime. Rocky enjoys toys and playing with other dogs, and he has been respectful of cats in the home. Because he is such a playful guy, he would likely do best with older kids who can match his energy. If you are looking for a fun buddy who doubles as a couch cuddler, Rocky is your guy!" Apply to meet this good boy today!  **Rocky will not be available until our 12/14/25 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! We will prioritize applicants who are able to attend the 12/14 event. If Rocky is not adopted at the event, we will move on to other applicants.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2581716##
