Story
Honeybee is a 6-year-old, 8-pound chiweenie with a lust for life. He is an incredibly happy boy who loves to be in the mix. He adores children, cuddling, playing with toys in the backyard and climbing. His current foster situation has dogs of all sizes, and he enjoys them all! He was not house trained when he came into rescue and has made great strides. Now he loves to use the doggie door and is back and forth all day long looking for the best spots to snooze in the sun. Honeybee has been neutered, and is vaccinated. He is heart worm positive and being treated. He sure would love a family to appreciate his sweet demeanor and love of children!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Spots! Spots and more Spots!! When I first came to the animal control place, I was covered with spots! And to make matters worse, my 3 girl puppies were covered with spots too! I guess we all had the same thing, but I didn’t think that we were that scary that people wouldn’t want to touch us or anything! Then we came into the God’s Dogs and started getting treatment for ringworms, which isn’t’ really worms but a fungal infection on our skin due to our previously poor living conditions. We are still taking a pill and getting baths for our skin, but we shouldn’t be contagious anymore. So, we have been here for 3 weeks now, and our spots are getting smaller, and our hair is coming in nicely. We still don’t have a super full coat, but it is getting there, but what we lack in hair cover, we make up for in personality! I am Ariel, the mom to this little group of 3 girls. I am super friendly and get along with dogs, cats, kids, whoever you want to introduce me to. I am only about 10 pounds and won’t get any bigger at 2 years old. I am probably a dachshund chihuahua mix with a little puggy tail thrown in. I am bronzy brown in color, and would love to share your house, your bed and your heart. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Ladybug is a gentle, loving and extra sweet 6-year-old, 7-pound chiweenie who desires nothing more than a human to pour all of her love into. She is joyful, playful and silly, but also very happy to couch potato next to you all day. Ladybug was not house trained when she came into rescue and has made great strides. She does well with other dogs, and would be happy to live in a multi-dog home but what she truly wants is human company. Ladybug has been spayed, and is vaccinated. She is heart worm positive and being treated. This girl will warm your heart and your lap!! ADOPT HER!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxWalter is a goofy and cuddly guy who wants to be near his people. He loves laying in the sun, going on walks, treats & toys and being under the covers.    Walter needs a fully fenced yard as he can be quite the escape artist. He likes to run for short bursts in the yard and find smells to roll in.  Walter gets along with his two resident dogs, but is still learning polite greetings with new dogs.   Walter is very curious, and needs someone who can be patient and reassure him. He is still working on leash training and is currently demonstrating some reactivity with other dogs. Based on the fosters observations we beleive that Walter may be hard of hearing.   Walter is left home with the resident dogs for a few hours at a time. He is known to be a snoop and counter surfer, so he is put in a room with our resident dog. He will settle when left with a doggy friend.    Walter picks up on patterns and routines quickly. He is not a quiet boy and will express his needs.   At this time, we do not how Walter does with kids or cats. Walter tends to be curious, cautious and skittish around new animals and meeting people outside the home.    Currently we are working on basic obedience and leash etiquette. Walter seems to have some reduced hearing and vision. We suspect it's genetic/congenital. He does not seem to be in any pain from it and we are working with MARS Vet to keep tabs on it. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Winky is a sweet and cuddly girl. She is blind, but that doesn't slow her down, and she likes exploring new things. Story
Libby is a sweet 2 1/2 year old Dachshund mix. She does very well with multiple dogs in the home (all sizes).   She is treat motivated and is house trained on a schedule.  Does not soil her kennel. Settles down at night nicely.  Kennels beautifully. Rides nice and quiet in car.  Tolerates a leash. I would not recommend shared walls as she can get excited over noises. A big lap dog!!  She’s a love bug and loves her people and other dogs.  Not high energy but she would need regular exercise.  She is learning how to be a dog as she came from hoarding situation in Arkansas.  She will be a great family member. She is a wonderful size for kids and older people.  Recommend a fenced yard and another dog in the home (big or small).                                          Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 8, 2025, 10:52 pm
