Story
Mona | 1 year| 20lbs| Dachshund and Dalmation mix| GTA VERY special dog alert! If Mona hasn't already hooked you with the polka dot coat and the ears, then let us tell you a bit about this amazing girl. The most important thing to know about Mona is she LOVES love. As soon as you make eye contact with her, her tail will start wagging excitedly and she'll wag faster and harder as you approach. She likes to take "kiss breaks" while napping, where she'll briefly wake up for a kiss and some affection, and then happily tuck back in to sleep. She loves human touch and is fine with being picked up and handled. She's friendly with everyone she meets but extra affectionate with her people. We believe Mona may be deaf or hard of hearing as she doesn't have much of a reaction to loud noises. This doesn't slow her down in the slightest; she's incredibly attuned and communicative with people, clued into her surroundings, and active and confident. Mona is spunky and energetic. She loves to play chase, do zoomies, frolic around with her toys, and to play with her foster's dog. She'd love a backyard and an active family who is willing to spend time on exercise, play, and training. Mona gets along great with the dog in her foster home, respecting his signals and boundaries but joyfully wrestling with him after meals and relaxing alongside him during quiet times. She'd make a great second dog, and really benefits from dog company. Mona is really just a puppy, but already great on leash, with no separation anxiety, resource guarding, or stranger danger. She is fine in her crate, and is unfazed by commotion or loud noise. She isn't a barker. Mona would bring the most love, affection, and happy puppy energy to her future family. Her foster mom guarantees that she'll lift your spirits when you're feeling sad, and says that she is excited for Mona to wake up from her naps since she's so fun to be around!
