Cian 4 months old | Spayed Female | Dachshund Mix | 3.5 kg | 23 cm | Black & Brown   CALGARY FLIGHT OPPORTUNITY — AUGUST 6 A flight volunteer to Calgary, AB is available, arriving on August 6 at 4:10 PM, with space for ONE dog.   Both Rory and Cian are eligible for this flight. The spot will go to whichever pup is matched with an approved Calgary adopter first.   Rescue Story Cian was born after her pregnant mother was rescued from a hoarding situation. She is now ready to leave her difficult beginnings behind and find a loving forever family of her own.   Personality & People Cian is a very friendly, affectionate, and outgoing puppy. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, rubbing against them for attention and readily allowing herself to be touched and petted.   She is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be picked up and held. She is so trusting with people that she may even roll over and show her belly to someone she has just met.   Other Dogs Cian is very social with other dogs and will approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play.   Despite her small size, she isn’t generally intimidated by larger dogs. However, very high-energy or rough dogs can make her nervous. She prefers playing with dogs closer to her own size or those with a gentler play style.   If another dog challenges or provokes her, Cian tends to avoid the situation rather than engage.   Cats Cian has not yet been observed around cats. Cat testing can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level Cian has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime but settles down nicely and rests afterward.   Walking Cian has not had much experience with leash walking yet and will need continued guidance and training in her new home.   At Home & Other Behaviours Cian does not show food guarding toward either people or other dogs.   She is currently quiet without problematic barking and remains calm in a kennel. She uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor areas for potty breaks.   Because Cian comes from a hoarding background and is accustomed to living around other dogs, her behaviour as the only dog in a home has not yet been observed.   Cian is still a young puppy and will need a family ready to continue her training, socialization, and help her grow into a happy, confident adult dog.   Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM! Story
Herman is a sweet little senior with an adorable face, a love of comfy dog beds, and a soft spot for canine companionship. He’s happiest spending his days relaxing in the living room, soaking up the sunshine on the patio, or napping close to his people. One of Herman’s best qualities is how well he gets along with other dogs. He enjoys their company, follows their lead, and would likely do well in a home with another calm, friendly dog. He’s generally a quiet little guy who rarely barks and is content to observe the world around him. Herman has a delightfully independent personality and definitely marches to the beat of his own drum. He takes time to build trust, but once he forms a bond with his person, we believe he’ll become an even more devoted companion. Because he can be sensitive when handled in ways he doesn’t like, Herman is looking for an adult-only home with someone who understands and respects a dog’s boundaries. He has tried to nip both his foster mom and the vet. Like many senior dogs, Herman comes with a few special needs. He is not yet housetrained and currently wears a belly band indoors. He appears to have spent much of his life using pee pads and is still learning that outside is the place to go. His adopter should expect that house-training will require patience, consistency, and plenty of time at home. A family that’s comfortable continuing with belly bands or indoor potty options may find that suits Herman best. Herman has low exercise needs and isn’t interested in long walks. A secure yard or patio where he can enjoy fresh air and sunshine is just his style. He rides quietly in a carrier for car trips and settles nicely at home when left alone for a few hours. Herman can live with dog-savvy cats, although he may chase them if given the opportunity. He also appears to prefer eating his meals separately from other dogs. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a big personality, appreciate quirky seniors, and have the patience to let trust grow at Herman’s pace, this little fellow may be exactly the dog you’ve been waiting for. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who simply wants a safe, understanding home where he can enjoy his golden years.

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Hiro Age: 3 years old (Born January 2023) Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Shih Tzu, Chihuahua mix Color: White, Grey Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was once part of a loving family and grew up alongside my dog siblings. After my owner's passing, unexpected changes in the household meant my family could no longer keep us safe. Wanting the very best for us, they made the difficult decision to ask the rescue for help. Thanks to their selfless choice, I arrived safely at the care facility, where I've been given a fresh start and a bright future. Now I'm patiently waiting for a forever family who will love and cherish me for the rest of my life. I can't wait to leave my past behind and begin my next chapter filled with love, happiness, and new adventures.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY While I'm a little shy in the beginning, I warm up quickly once I feel comfortable. Having grown up with my dog siblings my whole life, I naturally find comfort and confidence around other dogs. Overall, I'm a sweet, friendly boy who enjoys both people and canine friends. I'm also super small and absolutely adorable! My tiny size, gentle personality, and loving nature make me easy to fall in love with. I'm ready to fill my forever home with lots of happiness, cuddles, and unconditional love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when we first meet, but treats are the quickest way to win me over! I warm up very quickly and soon enjoy pets and affection from my people. Once I feel comfortable, I love showing my belly for rubs and happily allow myself to be picked up. With just a little patience in the beginning, you'll discover my sweet, loving personality. · With Dogs: Having grown up with my dog siblings, I naturally look to other dogs for comfort and confidence. I would thrive in a home with a friendly resident dog and would make a wonderful little addition to the family. I get along well with dogs of a similar size as well as larger dogs. When meeting new dogs, I appreciate thoughtful introductions and a little time to feel comfortable. Once I settle in, my friendly and gentle personality shines, and I enjoy having canine friends by my side. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on the leash at times, but overall I walk nicely and follow my handler's lead. I don't guard my food from people or my dog friends and have good manners around mealtimes. I may bark when I want attention, but I'm generally a quiet little pup. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle in well. Car rides can be a little scary for me, and I feel much more comfortable when I'm able to snuggle in your arms for reassurance. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I may be a Chihuahua–Shih Tzu mix, but everyone says I look much more like a little Shih Tzu! I'm a tiny boy with a huge heart and so much love to give. Although I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly and become a sweet, affectionate little shadow once I trust you. The staff and volunteers often comment on how adorable I am and how easy it is to fall in love with my gentle personality. Because I've spent my whole life with my dog siblings, I would especially thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can help me build confidence and continue showing me that the world is a safe place. With a little patience, love, and a canine friend by my side, I'm sure I'll blossom into a happy, confident boy. If you're looking for a small, gentle companion with an adorable face, a loving heart, and a lifetime of cuddles to offer, I might just be the perfect addition to your family.   HIRO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2778423##
