Story

Poppy is one of those happy, outgoing senior girls that ended up at a kill shelter through no fault of her own. She is a perfect house guest, has good house manners and can be trusted to stay out of everything. She is a typical Basset Hound, all about nosing around and looking for squirrels to tree and bark at. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home unless someone wants to invade her kennel space; even when the door is open she knows it is her kennel and she does not want to share her room (or her treats/food). Poppy has lots of energy, takes showing the puppies how to be good dogs seriously and does a great job of chasing the birds. She loves attention and humans of all sizes and ages. She would be a great travel companion, once she’s in the car she loves to ride. She is even great about ongoing ear maintenance that Basset Hounds require.She is fully vetted - current with her vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention and she is microchipped.

Age: approx. 1 year    Weight: approx. 13 lbs  Coco is a lively, affectionate, and energetic girl. She does well with other dogs and would be fine with kids. She loves bones, toys, and exploring outside while supervised. While Coco is a loyal and happy companion, her tendency to be underfoot might post a risk to individuals who are elderly or prone to falls. We recommend she be adopted by someone without these specific concerns, ensuring everyone's safety and peace of mind.  Coco is crate trained, mostly house trained and would love to be adopted by someone who has a lot of time to spend with her. She needs to be crated while unsupervised.  Coco has a fee of $500 and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on heart worm prevention. Story

Josette is a 1 1/2 year old 8lbs Dachshund who was part of a cruelty case. She is now safe and sound in foster care and ready to see all the world has to offer this sweet deserving girl. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and microchipped.  She is crate trained and working on her potty training but doing great! She has never seen a leash before so she will need someone with the time and patience to help show her things like leashes, harness, car rides, and the basic things pets experience when they are able to travel further than one room in a home for the entirety of their lives. She is wonderful with other dogs, cats and kids of all shapes and sizes.
