Story
Meet Peanut Peanut came to us from Yuma where he had earned quite a fan club. This very nice guy is estimated 9-10 years old and is 14/15 lbs. and stands 15" at the shoulder. Peanut is a laid back, mellow guy who is well behaved. He is not an excessive barker (except when crated) and has excellent house manners. Peanut has shown himself to be with good with people and other dogs. He is friendly but also enjoys time to himself. Peanut is well housebroken and has not had a single accident in his Tucson foster's home! Despite his long, lanky legs, Peanut is not a runner or a bolter. He walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to his leisurely walk around the block. Peanut had a dental while in rescue and has a nice set of teeth. He is also neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines and is healthy with no medications. Peanut is hard of hearing; he responds to a loud clap. For this reason thunder and other loud noises are probably not an issue with him. He has only mild vision issues. Peanut would be a great addition as a second (or third) dog to a household. The boy has learned to use the doggie door but he does not climb pet stairs and has little interest in getting up on the couch or the bed. He is most comfortable on the floor or ground where he enjoys his dog beds. He will typically nap the afternoon away. Peanut is not a lap dog,.and typical of his breed is fairly independent. He is mostly a quiet guy but occasionally he will talk to you (not bark) which may amuse you. If you would be interested in possibly adding Peanut to your family submit an application HERE >>> https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application

Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
I’m looking to surrender my wonderful dog who was given to me by a friend who could no longer keep her. She truly is a good dog, sweet, loyal, and well-behaved; but unfortunately, I’m not able to give her the time and attention she needs right now. Her name is Cardi, she is a Manchester Terrier, about three years of age, female, full of love and potential, and deserves a home where she can get the care, time, and companionship she needs to thrive.

Story
This pet is part of a bonded pair! Please find her bestie here: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/44667856-phoenix-arizona-terrier-unknown-type-small-mix Chloe is a little lover, and she loves to snuggle right up next to you. She tends to be a bit timid at times, and takes a little time to warm up to strangers. We adopted her when she was 1yo and don't have any information about her history or prior owner. She still has a playful, silly side, at times, and loves to play :) She has a little companion named Zoe. We are looking to re-home them together, if at all possible. We do not have a yard or grass near by, so they both are trained to use training pads in the house. And, they both know the commands "sit" and "lay" If Zoe and Chloe are a adopted together, I will include large crate, food storage, bowls, blankets, toys, ect.
