Story
Meet Peanut Peanut came to us from Yuma where he had earned quite a fan club. This very nice guy is estimated 9-10 years old and is 14/15 lbs. and stands 15" at the shoulder. Peanut is a laid back, mellow guy who is well behaved. He is not an excessive barker (except when crated) and has excellent house manners. Peanut has shown himself to be with good with people and other dogs. He is friendly but also enjoys time to himself. Peanut is well housebroken and has not had a single accident in his Tucson foster's home! Despite his long, lanky legs, Peanut is not a runner or a bolter. He walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to his leisurely walk around the block. Peanut had a dental while in rescue and has a nice set of teeth. He is also neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines and is healthy with no medications. Peanut is hard of hearing; he responds to a loud clap. For this reason thunder and other loud noises are probably not an issue with him. He has only mild vision issues. Peanut would be a great addition as a second (or third) dog to a household. The boy has learned to use the doggie door but he does not climb pet stairs and has little interest in getting up on the couch or the bed. He is most comfortable on the floor or ground where he enjoys his dog beds. He will typically nap the afternoon away. Peanut is not a lap dog,.and typical of his breed is fairly independent. He is mostly a quiet guy but occasionally he will talk to you (not bark) which may amuse you.
