Story
Meet Our Pocket-Sized Sunshine, Ready to Bloom At just 8 pounds, this 3-year-old Miniature Pinscher may be petite in size, but she carries the quiet strength of a dog who is learning the world can be kind. She’s a gentle soul, still getting comfortable with human touch—but she’s making beautiful progress. She walks well on a leash and enjoys the calm company of other dogs, especially those who match her easygoing energy. Being picked up can feel a little scary right now, but with time, patience, and consistency, she’s beginning to trust and lean in. Her favorite part of the day? Basking in the sun, stretched out in the grass, quietly taking in the world. She doesn’t ask for much—just a calm, understanding home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. If you’re someone who sees the beauty in quiet growth, this little girl may be the perfect companion to walk beside you in life’s gentler moments. She is available for adoption at our Dogsville location in Humansville, MO. 🖱 Apply to adopt at www.nmdr.org (select Missouri).

Story
please read description thoroughly and apply at www.misfitsdogrescue.org Chumlee is a senior dog without a cushy forever home for his senior years. He is a 10-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix weighing about 20 pounds. He’s a bit on the heavy side, with a sturdier, more robust build than a typical Min Pin. Chumlee came to rescue after his beloved owner passed away. His previous owner was an older gentleman, and Chumlee clearly enjoyed being someone’s loyal companion. Chumlee is potty trained but does best when encouraged to go outside regularly. He was kenneled in his previous home, though he much prefers sleeping in bed with his person. He does well going up and down stairs but needs pet stairs or an occasional lift down from beds or chairs. At first, Chumlee can be a little standoffish, but once he warms up, he’s an affectionate boy who truly loves attention, pets, and being close to his people. He loves treats and enjoys spending time with his person. Chumlee is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and recently had a dental cleaning. He does have hypothyroidism and takes a 0.1 mg thyroid tablet once every 24 hours. He takes his pill easily when hidden in a small piece of hot dog. Chumlee also has allergies that are currently well controlled with monthly Cytopoint injections, which must be continued with his new owner. As long as he remains current on his injections, he does not experience itching. Medicated baths are recommended, and Chumlee is very easy to bathe—he sits nicely. It is also recommended that he live in a home with no carpet. He does well with other dogs. He has not been cat tested, but he is believed he would likely do fine. Chumlee is not accustomed to being around children. He would do best in a calm, adult home, ideally with someone retired or home often—who can spend lots of time with him, take him for leisurely walks, and enjoy his sweet companionship. Adoption fee: $200 Apply at: www.misfitsdogrescue.org January 31, 2026, 3:11 pm
