Story
“Help is on the way, my dear!”- Mrs. DoubtfireThis dog may look like the one formerly known as Savage… but after two returns, we realized the name was less “cool and edgy” and more “manifesting bad vibes.” So we hit the reset button, saged the room (emotionally), and reintroduced him with a name that actually fits his heart. Friends, meet SAMMY.Sammy is a nearly two-year-old Miniature Pinscher looking for a new foster—and yes, we are fully committed to doing this correctly, with honesty, structure, and zero illusions. At first glance, Sammy is an absolute dream. Cute. Compact. Min-pin fabulous. He presents as a happy, affectionate, fun-loving dog who desperately wants to be included in everything you’re doing, even things that do not involve him. Once he’s comfortable, he becomes extremely cuddly and will happily glue himself to your side like he’s on the payroll.Sammy is dog-friendly with proper introductions, crate-trained, and does best when crated if left alone or if you can’t supervise—because this man has no impulse control around food and will absolutely steal your sandwich, your snacks, and your dignity if given the chance. He’s housebroken on a consistent potty schedule, knows sit and down, and eats like he’s racing someone, so a slow feeder is required. He’s great in the car, LOVES his walks, and around the house he enjoys sprinting at top speed while proudly carrying a toy like he just won the Olympics. More space to zoom = more joy. After he burns off energy, he’s happy to chew a Nylabone and then settle in close for quality couch time. Now let’s address the cat-shaped elephant in the room.Sammy is very curious about cats and initially responds with enthusiasm best described as “WAY too excited for polite society.” He wants to investigate, play, supervise, and possibly provide live commentary. Once he settles and realizes cats are not, in fact, interactive squeaky toys, he may do just fine with proper management and calm leadership. Now for the “please read this part” section (AKA the fine print, if you will):New people coming into the home can make Sammy feel unsure, and he may bark while he decides if they’re a threat or simply a guest who brought snacks. He can also be a bit possessive at times—but with calm, consistent handling, this behavior is very manageable. Because of this, Sammy needs an adult-only home where boundaries are respected and everyone understands that sma

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*Toi is a a forever foster due to health issues*. As a special needs pup we appreciate sponsorships and donation to his care.   *All applicants must have a vet reference and a fenced yard to be considered.* Due to no fault of his own, Toi is in a new foster home. Unfortunately for all concerned, he lost his foster daddy and his foster home due to a house fire. He has managed to worm his way into the hearts of his foster parents. He gets along with all of his foster siblings due to a very slow meet and greet. He is doing extremely well and we are so proud of him. Toi is UTD on all vaccinations at this time. He has a voracious appetite and will not miss being in the kitchen under foot while we are cooking. Toi would love to have a home of his very own where he will get all the attention he deserves. He needs a stable environment with no children in the home. Children tend to move fast and that movement scares Toi. Hello lucky lottery winner!!!  No— not really a lottery, but you will feel like you have hit the jackpot if I choose you to be my forever home.  So let’s talk about me and see if we could be a family.     My name is Toi.  I am a Min Pin/Chihuahua mix who is 12  years old.  Don’t let that age thing bother you,, I am a medium energy dog who loves walks, zoomies in the backyard with my foster sister and brother and car rides.  My favorite word is Treats!!!   I am a little bit choosey about who I do and don’t like. Foster mom says I need some more “socialization:”- whatever that means.  Hey— do you instantly like everyone you meet?  I bet you don’t.  I choose to think of myself as discerning about who I let into my inner circle!!  But just think how special you will feel when I decide that you are deserving of my trust, snuggles and love.  I didn’t get to meet a lot of people when I was growing up and it takes me a while to let my guard down with new humans. I do best when I am on a leash when new two-leggers come into the house. I can be growly, but if they leave me alone, I leave them alone. I listen to Mom when she tells me “Toi, settle down, don’t be growly, you’re fine”.     My foster home has two other dogs in it, so I have a foster brother and sister who are my best friends.  We love to run around the backyard together, wait for our treats, mealtime and jump into the big bed every morning..  My favorite place to sleep at night is on a chair covered in my blankets in the big bedroom. I need lots of blankets so I can burrow down inside of them!!     Children aren’t really my thing, so foster mom says we are looking for a home with adults only.  And my new family needs to be very experienced with dogs who need a little extra attention, time and patience. Do you know the saying, “good things come to those who wait” or  “patience is a virtue”?  Or how about— just love me for who I am, just like I will love you for who you are and together we will grow and become the best we can be.   Am I a lap dog?  No. Am I going to instantly trust you? No. Am I worth the work you will put into building a relationship with me?  You bet!! And on top of that— I am very handsome.  So maybe it’s okay that I play a little “hard to get”!   This is what I need from my new family:   A big fenced in backyard so I can run and run and run.  At least one other dog to be my bestie and to show me how to be a dog. Someone who can understand that while I love to lay right next to my human, I am not one of those silly lap dogs who wants to be held like a baby.   Maybe some day, but not right now.  Someone who loves me unconditionally and will take the time to earn my love and trust.   I do not really like men and so I need a Mom in my new home. I have gotten used to my foster Dad- but really need to have my main forever parent be a woman.   Adults who are experienced with dogs who have fear and socialization issues.   And don’t forget about toys— I need lots of toys!! Toys to carry around, toys to throw up in the air, toys to chase— you can never have too many toys!!  But mostly time, love and patience.    So let’s get those applications rolling in and I can pick out my new home!!!  I’m posting some new pics that foster mom took of me and I know they make me look irresistible!!!       Toi's adoption donation is $250.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Meet Rusty the soft-hearted gentleman of 12 winters. Hes easygoing in that comforting, old-soul way, with sweetness that hums quietly through every moment. Potty trained, well-mannered, and wonderfully low-maintenance, hes the kind of dog who blends into a home like hes always belonged there. Rusty gets along beautifully with dogs of all ages and sizes. His voice is rarely heardhe mostly saves it for politely requesting to come back inside after a stroll in the yard. He learned the house routine almost immediately and lets you know when he needs to go out. What he loves most: burrowing into blankets and curling up beside his favorite human on the couch or in bed, like a warm, breathing bookmark. Rusty is simply a good old man hoping to find his personsomeone to share the gentle, golden chapter ahead. He is 12 years , 17 pounds and currently in great shape! We know his forever family is out there !!
