Story
Meet Mikka! Mikka the min pin here! I’m so very excited to meet you!! I'm a senior lady, weighing about 8 teeny tiny pounds. The AKC describes min pins as “Queen of Toys” and “Ms. Personality” and I couldn’t agree more. I’m curious and quirky. I prance, I dance and I bow! I love rearranging the blanket in my crate until it's just right for snoozing (foster mom keeps re-folding it and I’m not having any of that!). I charmed all the vet staff with my personality and my love of humans! I live with some little humans right now, but I love food so much that I could easily snatch some food out of a little's hands, so my foster parents are working with me on not doing that. I have two “Mikka modes": really excited and active or buried under a big blanket snoozing. I love to sleep in - please don’t wake me until at least 8 am! I’m also not a fan of this cold white stuff - yuck! I’d prefer if you go outside with me for potty time. If you don’t, I just stand at the door and beg to come back in and forget to “go.” Oops! My foster parents are working on getting me on a potty routine, and I’m sure I’ll catch on. In the mean time, I am potty pad trained and use them every time I need to go. I’m a very smart girl! Since it's been cold and snowy since I arrived in Wisconsin, my foster parents haven’t taken me on a walk, so they aren’t really sure how my leash walking skills are. Have we talked about food yet? OMG, I LOVE FOOD! Min pins don’t have an “off switch” when it comes to eating and will just eat and eat and eat forever. Therefore, I do best in a home with controlled portions and mealtimes. I’m a bit bossy about my food (and my crate too) and will tell the other dogs what’s what if they get too close to my stuff. The dogs in my foster home just roll their eyes and say “Oh Mikka!” but some dogs might not handle my bossiness as well, so my foster parents feed me in my crate to cut down on the bossiness and so I don’t steal food from the other dogs. When I’m excited about food or when I want something, I am pretty barky, so I’m probably not the best dog for apartment living. I'd love to find a forever family that will enjoy me and my love for all of my days! I hope to meet you soon! Story
Meet Sweetie! Hi there, my name is Sweetie! Sometimes my Foster dad calls me "short stack" because I'm real little, weighing only 15 pounds as a senior, but honestly I'm still learning to come to Sweetie. I have spent my whole life without a real name (sassy on paper, but I never knew it.) If ya meet me you'll agree, Sweetie fits me SO much better. Since I have been rescued my world has totally changed, and I am just trying to learn and be apart of it. Lets start with this whole "POTTY" thing.. Outside? Who knew? I am learning though, and my foster sister has been showing me the ropes. Full disclosure, I still have an occasional accident, mainly #2s but I am pretty much hitting the pee pads. It is a good idea to keep an eye on me, but I really do pretty well on a schedule. Being on a leash is super new to me, as I have always been in a cage, and I have gotten to be okay with it, but will need some patience when taking walks. I am super duper curious, and I tend to want to go in 15 directions at once. As long as we are discussing my curiousness, I have a mild chewing fetish. Luckily my foster brother shared his chewing bone with me, then my foster mom got me one more my size, you know, a little smaller since he's a big dog, with a big bone. I love being part of a pack! Currently I have 3 foster dog-siblings and 3 foster cat-siblings and we all get along great. I love the companionship and group cuddles. Needless to say, I would be super happy to have other dogs to hang with, and play with! Food wise, T-r-e-a-t-s!! Ok, maybe not all the time, but since I never had them until I came to my foster home, I've found I really like them! I do like my kibble mixed with a little dab of pumpkin, it's good for me! I love to cuddle and be close, I have never had alot of affection, and am like a sponge if you show me any. If you are looking for a pup that will be super excited to see you when you get home and turn that time into a real party, I'm your gal! I will be your biggest fan, and as such won't want to be away from you. Are you ready for your very own cheerleader? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    *All applicants must have a vet reference and a fenced yard to be considered.* Due to no fault of his own, Toi is in a new foster home. Unfortunately for all concerned, he lost his foster daddy and his foster home due to a house fire. He has managed to worm his way into the hearts of his foster parents. He gets along with all of his foster siblings due to a very slow meet and greet. He is doing extremely well and we are so proud of him. Toi is UTD on all vaccinations at this time. He has a voracious appetite and will not miss being in the kitchen under foot while we are cooking. Toi would love to have a home of his very own where he will get all the attention he deserves. He needs a stable environment with no children in the home. Children tend to move fast and that movement scares Toi. Hello lucky lottery winner!!!  No— not really a lottery, but you will feel like you have hit the jackpot if I choose you to be my forever home.  So let’s talk about me and see if we could be a family.     My name is Toi.  I am a Min Pin/Chihuahua mix who is 12  years old.  Don’t let that age thing bother you,, I am a medium energy dog who loves walks, zoomies in the backyard with my foster sister and brother and car rides.  My favorite word is Treats!!!   I am a little bit choosey about who I do and don’t like. Foster mom says I need some more “socialization:”- whatever that means.  Hey— do you instantly like everyone you meet?  I bet you don’t.  I choose to think of myself as discerning about who I let into my inner circle!!  But just think how special you will feel when I decide that you are deserving of my trust, snuggles and love.  I didn’t get to meet a lot of people when I was growing up and it takes me a while to let my guard down with new humans. I do best when I am on a leash when new two-leggers come into the house. I can be growly, but if they leave me alone, I leave them alone. I listen to Mom when she tells me “Toi, settle down, don’t be growly, you’re fine”.     My foster home has two other dogs in it, so I have a foster brother and sister who are my best friends.  We love to run around the backyard together, wait for our treats, mealtime and jump into the big bed every morning..  My favorite place to sleep at night is on a chair covered in my blankets in the big bedroom. I need lots of blankets so I can burrow down inside of them!!     Children aren’t really my thing, so foster mom says we are looking for a home with adults only.  And my new family needs to be very experienced with dogs who need a little extra attention, time and patience. Do you know the saying, “good things come to those who wait” or  “patience is a virtue”?  Or how about— just love me for who I am, just like I will love you for who you are and together we will grow and become the best we can be.   Am I a lap dog?  No. Am I going to instantly trust you? No. Am I worth the work you will put into building a relationship with me?  You bet!! And on top of that— I am very handsome.  So maybe it’s okay that I play a little “hard to get”!   This is what I need from my new family:   A big fenced in backyard so I can run and run and run.  At least one other dog to be my bestie and to show me how to be a dog. Someone who can understand that while I love to lay right next to my human, I am not one of those silly lap dogs who wants to be held like a baby.   Maybe some day, but not right now.  Someone who loves me unconditionally and will take the time to earn my love and trust.   I do not really like men and so I need a Mom in my new home. I have gotten used to my foster Dad- but really need to have my main forever parent be a woman.   Adults who are experienced with dogs who have fear and socialization issues.   And don’t forget about toys— I need lots of toys!! Toys to carry around, toys to throw up in the air, toys to chase— you can never have too many toys!!  But mostly time, love and patience.    So let’s get those applications rolling in and I can pick out my new home!!!  I’m posting some new pics that foster mom took of me and I know they make me look irresistible!!!       Toi's adoption donation is $250.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 21, 2024, 12:14 am

Story
In a house on a hill, with a yard quite vast, Lived a hyperactive pup, a whirlwind so fast. Pico was his name, a furry little sprite, With boundless energy, from morning 'til night. He'd chase his own tail in a never-ending race, Zooming through rooms, leaving toys in his trace. With a wagging tail and a goofy grin so wide, Pico was the joy of every bumpy ride. He'd dig up the garden, bury bones in the ground, Then proudly present them when guests came around. His antics were endless, a daily surprise, From leaping through hoops to chasing butterflies. But when bedtime rolled in, his energy would wane, He'd curl up in his bed, like a tired hurricane. Dreaming of squirrels and a world so grand, Pico the hyper dog, the best in the land. So here's to Pico, the canine dynamo, Whose zest for life would endlessly flow. In laughter and chaos, he'd always partake, Pico, the hyper dog, for goodness' sake! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Copo is a cuddly, early rising, cute attention seeking old man. He is currently looking for a new home due to family complications. Copo likes his quality time with his favorite people and makes a great  personal heater when he snuggles. This old man is very food  motivated, he loves praise, can be strong willed and can be playful at times when he is feeling spunky. Copo knows how to ask for potty breaks with a bell. Due to age and too many pets he can mark occasionally but may not show that  behavior in a calmer household with more attention on himself. Copo has lived with cats and dogs and does well. He can be more specific with dogs, especially males but it depends on the individual personality overall. If you are interested in learning more about Copo please contact us for more information.    ***courtesy post, will be a private adoption***February 26, 2024, 4:09 pm
