Story
Meet Piper—a truly special little lady who’s been waiting far too long to find her forever home. This sweet Miniature Pinscher mix has quite the story. She arrived at Misty Eyes Animal Center from a shelter with her litter of eight puppies, and after lovingly raising them, it’s finally her turn to be cared for and cherished. Piper will be a bit timid at first and can be shy around new people, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, she blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily curl up beside you and show just how loving she truly is. At around 4 years old and 30 pounds, Piper has a playful side—she especially enjoys chasing her favorite ball and letting her joyful spirit shine. Because she can be sensitive to loud noises and unfamiliar situations, she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Piper finds comfort in her people and forms strong, loyal bonds. With the right family—one that understands her gentle nature and is willing to go at her pace—she will be an incredibly rewarding companion. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this deserving girl, please submit an adoption application at: https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Hi! I’m Kyser! I’m a 10 year old chiweenie minpin mix! I get nervous but once I get to know you I’m stuck like glue! I LOVE to love. I’m huge on cuddling, following my person around and cuddling under the covers (I think most call it being a Velcro dog?) I would love to have an owner that is home the majority of the day! While I do well with kids, smaller little ones can make me a little nervous, I don’t really like my legs, paws, or belly messed with and sometimes they aren’t really respectful. I’m great with other dogs, but I think rowdy ones are rude and would likely do best in a home with calmer dogs. I don’t care about cats (unless they try and lay on me).

Story
Hi, I’m Krash! My name is Krash, and while I may only have three legs, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life and dreaming about a family of my own! I’m a sweet boy with a big heart, but I can be a little nervous when I’m meeting new people or finding my way around new places. Sometimes I need a little extra time to feel comfortable, and that’s okay. Once I know I’m safe and can trust you, my gentle personality starts to shine. I love kind words, soft pets, and spending quiet time with the people I care about most. Having three legs just means I do things a little differently. I still enjoy exploring, going on adventures, and soaking up all the love and attention I can get. I don’t let my missing leg define me. I focus on what I can do, and that’s love with my whole heart! I’m looking for a patient family that will help me build my confidence and remind me that the world isn’t such a scary place. In return, I’ll be a loyal companion, a dedicated cuddle buddy, and your biggest fan. If you’re searching for a sweet soul who just needs a little reassurance and a lot of love, I might be the perfect match. I can’t wait to show you that the best things in life don’t always come on four legs.

Microchipped: Not yet Adoption Fee/Donation: $400 Adoption Application Link: https://form.jotform.com/241517986810160 Important!! Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
