Don’t let his small size fool you—this little guy is bursting with BIG personality, BIG energy, and a whole lot of fun. If you love staying active and want a sidekick to keep up, Rusty is your boy! This busy little guy is always on the go—playing, bouncing, exploring, and showing off his impressive jumping skills (seriously… he’s got some hops). Rusty is already potty trained and crate trained, and he’s one smart cookie who’s learning quickly—he already knows to sit for treats and gets super excited when the leash comes out! He absolutely loves other dogs and thrives on playtime, so a furry friend would be a major bonus. Rusty could use a little help polishing his leash manners, but he’s eager and ready to learn. Any kids in the home should be old enough to know to respect his boundaries. And when the day winds down? Rusty turns into the ultimate cuddle bug His favorite place is snuggled up right next to you under the blankets. And fair warning—if you stop petting him, he’ll gently remind you with the sweetest little paw. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, playful, and snuggly best friend, Rusty is ready to jump right into your life (literally!). New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
