Story
Meet Cyrus At just 7 months old, this handsome little Miniature Pinscher is already showing everyone what an amazing companion he’s going to be. Cyrus is thriving in his foster home — learning his manners, building his confidence, and soaking up all the love he can get. But what he really dreams of is a forever home to call his very own. True to his Min Pin spirit, Cyrus is smart, spunky, and full of personality! He loves playtime, exploring his surroundings, and being right in the middle of whatever his people are doing. He’s curious and energetic, but he also enjoys winding down with snuggles after a fun day. Cyrus has been working hard on his training and does best with consistency and routine. With continued guidance, he’s going to grow into a loyal, devoted companion who bonds deeply with his family. He’s done so well in foster care — now he’s ready for his happily ever after. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart, tons of charm, and a lifetime of love to give, Cyrus is waiting to meet you. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. March 1, 2026, 9:00 am

Story
Meet Olivia At just 7 months old, Olivia is a tiny dynamo with a huge heart! This adorable Miniature Pinscher is full of personality — playful, curious, and always ready to be part of the action. She may be small in size, but she makes up for it with confidence and charm. Olivia is at that perfect age where she’s soaking up everything she learns. She’s smart, eager to please, and will thrive with continued training and a consistent routine. Whether it’s learning new tricks, going for walks, or playing with her favorite toys, she’s happiest when she’s with her people. After she’s burned off some of that puppy energy, Olivia loves to cuddle and be your little shadow. She forms strong bonds and is ready to give her whole heart to a family of her very own. If you’re looking for a spunky, loving companion who will keep life fun and full of affection, Olivia is ready to meet you and start her forever journey. We do not have a facility for you to visit. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Livy! This pretty girl was allegedly found abandoned at a rest stop with another canine friend.  Livy is a sweet pup, but reserved with people she doesn't know.  She takes time to warm up to strangers.  She willingly rolls over for belly rubs with those she knows! Livy needs a gentle approach as she is sensitive to correction, especially if delivered with a loud, stern voice. She seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but takes a minute to warm up to them. Once comfortable Livy wants to play with them.   We aren't sure what Livy's breed mix is, but she is fully grown and a compact size at 26 pounds.  She has a gorgeous Mahogany coat with blackish-brown highlights.  Her coat gleams in the sun!  She has soulful caramel-colored eyes that melt you. Livy is crate trained, potty trained, rides well in a vehicle, does pretty good on leash, but will pull you if she spots a critter like a squirrel. Livy will be visiting the vet soon for needed vaccines.  She will also be spayed and microchipped before going to her adoptive home.     Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
